Rams Game to go ahead against Wigan

International call ups were a concern and put the fixture against Wigan Athletic in doubt. Derby County have now confirmed that the game will go ahead as scheduled

Game On!

The Rams have confirmed that the game against Wigan Athletic scheduled for next week, 11th October, will now go ahead as planned.

The game was thrown into doubt over International call-ups. Lee Grant will be in Istambul, Turkey, to play in the England Under 21 international against the Turk’s. Derby County’s other Under21 International Candido Costa will also be in action for his country against Slovakia. Both Players are competing in the U21 European qualifying matches.

The rule states that each team must have a minimum of three players out on International duty and this is not the case with the Rams, hence the gaming being able to be played.

People should note that this game will kick off at 1-30pm. This is because of the full England International against Turkey, which is a crucial match for both nations in the European qualifying matches.
