v Doncaster : A draw away at Doncaster, where Coventry City once again threw away a lead, saw them drop into the relegation zone. Sammy Clingan finally scored another goal (On 31 minutes), while Baker just failed to make it 2-0 minutes later, with Haytor equalising for Doncaster on the hour. Failure to hold onto the lead continued CCFC's run of not winning away at Doncaster and denied them their first away win of the season (And what would have been only their second away win in 2011. Garbage).
TEAM: Murphy, Christie, Keogh, Hussey (McPake 26), Cameron, Baker (Bell 90), Thomas, Clingan, McSheffrey (Deegan 74), Jutkiewicz, McDonald. SNU: Dunn, Platt.
v Burnley : Another injury time goal, this time against Burnley, turned a draw into a defeat for Coventry City. The home side had taken the lead in the 58th minute with Cody McDonald scoring his first goal for the club, but opted to throw it away, with Wallace scoring after 72 minutes, and Austin scoring in the 93rd minute. Bigirimana was also sent off (On his birthday) in the 79th minute. The turning point in a match Coventry City never looked like losing was replacing McDonald with O'Donovan on 68 minutes....
TEAM: Murphy, Keogh, Hussey, Christie, Wood, Bell, Thomas, Bigirimana (SO 79), Clingan, Jutkiewicz, McDonald (O’Donovan 68). SNU: Dunn, Cameron, Baker, Deegan.
v Leeds : Darren O'Dea (Whose shameful diving while in an Ipswich shirt annoyed a fair few people at the Ricoh last season) gave the home side the lead on 26 minutes, though said goal should have been ruled out for offside. McCormack should have doubled the home sides lead, but opted to blast a simple chance over the bar. This proved costly as for once, rather than gifting the opposition a late goal, Richard Wood equalised for the away side two minutes into injury time, as Coventry City took a quality point away from Elland Road.
TEAM: Murphy, Christie, Hussey, Keogh, Wood, Clingan, Thomas, Deegan (Bigirimana 46), Bell, Jutkiewicz, Platt (McDonald 46). SNU: Dunn, Cameron, O'Donovan.
