The new seasons fixtures have been released, and Coventry City's opponents on the opening day, August 8th, are the same as the opposition for the last day of last season: Ipswich Town (At home).

This game is followed by away fixtures at Barnsley (August 15th) and Doncaster (August 18th), and Swansea at home on Saturday 22nd. The League Cup's second round, should Coventry City progress, will be played on either Tuesday 25th or Wednesday 26th of August, with an away trip to Blackpool finishing off the month.

Newcastle at home is on Tuesday 8th of December, with the away fixture on Wednesday 17th of February (The sort of long-distance midweek fixture supporters could do without). Leicester at home is on Saturday 3rd of October, and the return fixture is on Saturday 20th of March. As with last season Coventry City's final home fixture is against Watford, on 2nd of May.

The League Cup draw has also been made, with Coventry City drawn at home to Hartlepool (Almost guaranteed to be a sell-out). The fixture is to be played on Tuesday August 11th, and tickets are already on sale, priced at a very reasonable £12 for adults, and £6 for concessions. Presuming they're not sold off over the summer, Arran Lee-Barrett, Willie Boland, and one-time Coventry City target Rune Lange could be playing for the visitors.
