With Chris Coleman stating that the problem last season was the supply to the strikers, rather than the strikers themselves, he's now been linked with half-a-dozen in less than a week! Leeds United's Jermaine Beckford, Bristol Rovers' Rickie Lambert, and Leicester's DJ Campbell have all been linked, while Sunil Chetri has claimed he is due to return to Coventry City for another trial.
With Hearts looking to have priced Andrew Driver out of a move to the Arena, Coventry City are once again being linked former player Gary McSheffrey (Though it's unlikely he would cost any less than Driver, having been sold to Birmingham City for around £3.7 million), who spent most of last season out injured. Rumours that Coventry City are interested in Driver's midfield team-mate Bruno Aguiar have been denied by th club.
Coventry City could face competition from Swansea for the signature of Scunthorpe keeper Joe Murphy. Should Murphy sign, this would more than lileky see Dimi Konstantopolous return to Hartlepool on a season long loan.
Speculation becomes fact with the news that Steve Kean is leaving Coventry City, despite having a year to run on his contract. Coventry City's assistant manager, who rejected the chance to move to Chelsea last summer, is rumoured to be being replaced by former England and Middlesboro assistant manager Steve Harrison. Harrison, who allegedly has an interesting line in party tricks (http://www.badbehaviour.de/08.swf - click the third ball on the right for more details!) left Boro in July 2008 due to health problems .... or didn't, if the Coventry Telegraph is to be believed.
