A Derby Triumph

By Gary Watton

Normal service appears to have been resumed in the local skirmishes avec little old Rottenham Coldspur. Whilst the latter were disappointing, the hosts were just about good enough to take advantage. I won't be celebrating too much. Chelsea remain largely goal shy, tonight notwithstanding, and they seem incapable of piecing a few wins together. Until they go on a long winning run, or a long unbeaten sequence, then this derby triumph will only furnish the manager with little more than a stay of execution.

CHELSEA 2 Tottenham Hotspur 0; half time: 0-0

CHELSEA: Caballero; Luiz; Alonso; Azpilicueta; Rudiger; Higuain; Jorginho; Kante; Pedro; Hazard; Kovacic. Used substitutes: Willian; Loftus-Cheek; Giroud

CHELSEA goal scorers: Pedro; Trippier (own goal)

LEADING SCORERS:

Hazard fifteen

Morata nine

Pedro eight

Giroud seven

Willian seven

Loftus-Cheek six

Barkley five

Kante four
