Welcome Carlo Ancelotti

Welcome

The worst kept secret in football has been revealed as Chelsea Football Club announced this morning that Carlo Ancelotti is Chelsea's new coach. Ancelotti has got a three year deal and his contract begins on 1st July 2009.
Chelsea TV have already interviewed Ancelotti and the interview will be shown tonight at 5pm. I have had a sneak preview of the interview and Ancelotti's English isn't that bad, in fact, despite reservations about his grasp of the English language from all sorts, his English is probably better than mine.

Sources say that Ancelotti agreed to become Chelsea coach two months ago and obviously many hours of hard work have gone on behind the scenes to secure his services and get AC Milan to agree to terminate his contract a year early.

Hope his English is coming in well.

The premier league is very different to Serie A so he´ll have to be able to adapt tactics when necessary.

Be interesting to see what happens.

Actually, his first interview in English is on the Chelsea site - and it´s not as bad as I thought it would be:

Welcome Carlo and lets give him the support he needs,it wont be easy and i am sure he has a list of players he wants. There will be players leaving for sure but as long as he doesn't change the team too much then with his experience i can see us having a very good season.

Just watched Carlo in his first interview - apart from a couple of mistakes with his words - he did alrite.

Come August he should be 100% better

Hi again its WCW in my normal guise lol. Actually thought Hiddink was a breath of fresh air. His interviews were always intresting. Top coach imo.

(This bloke above should make up his mind - a week ago it was Marko Arnautovic using his computer).
