By dixon9 May 31 2009 Some sections of the media claim that we are putting together a substantial bid for the services of Atletico Madrid forward Sergio Aguero. The transfer fee at £50million would be a world record.
Inter Milan are also supposed to be vying for the Argentinean´s signature but the greater financial resources of Abramovich should be enough to give advantage Chelsea.
Manchester City have also shown their interest but the media claim Aguero would only go to a club playing Champions League football next season.
“I cannot deny big European clubs want Aguero, but the decision is down to Atletico,” said Jose Segui of IMG who are Aguero's representatives.
Much as I’d like to see this player at Stamford Bridge next season I have my doubts that this transfer will happen. Aguero has previously stated that he would not like to live in England and apparently his family would prefer to stay in Spain or at least in a country with a similar culture.
It is also claimed that we had an offer for Aguero rejected last season.
I really want Sergio Aguero to go to the Bridge because I have watched numerous dclips of him and as I have discoveredhe is influential at Athletico Madrid because of his great finishing and sensational passing. Aguero is exactly the type of summer signing that Chelsea need to challenge Manchester United fior the title and what's worse is that Manchester United are showing a great interest but although Manchester United have easily got the cash to match Sergio Aguero's transfer fee, I don't think Malcom Glazer has enough cash to meet his 200,000 pound wages that Aguero needs. Moreover I believe that Sergio "KUN" Aguero should got the bridge and Abramovich really should try to sign the Argentinian goalscorer.
