Superb performance brings three vital points in push for Premier League safety
With impeccable timing, the Clarets produced one of their best away-days of the season to move eight points clear of the relegation places.
Goals from the deadly duo of Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes – either side of a first goal from open play for the Clarets from Ashley Westwood – saw Burnley come from behind to secure a fourth win on the road this season.
Sean Dyche’s side also became the first Burnley team to complete the double over the Cherries since the 1999/2000 season.
But more importantly, they made it back-to-back victories to climb to 15th place in the table and put themselves within touching distance of Premier League safety.
Eddie Howe’s side had been beaten just four times at the Vitality Stadium this season and not lost at home to any side outside the top six.
But Bournemouth had no answer to a Burnley performance which over-powered them in every area with two goals in three first-half minutes setting up the fightback fittingly capped in the second half by Barnes – who scored at both ends but typified the desire not to finish on the losing side.

Absolutely brilliant performance from the lads today, they were all on top of their game. The timing of this 3 points before the Taffs turn up next week is just so perfect. A massive well done to all.
Top performance from the Clarets.. Another one next week will see our stay in the premiership extended another season.. More millions in the bank for the board to sift away and not invest in players..
Now now Alfie don't be a party pooper. One more goal and Ashley would have had a hat trick. If only the country could be run like BFC.That is, all pulling together top to bottom.Example to us all. Well done SD and all the squad, coaching staff and all those that never see the limelight that make Burnley tick.We are now back to what works.
Cardiff game will not be a walk in the park. Those fans of ours that travel deserve a great big pat on the back.
"Those fans of ours that travel deserve a great big pat on the back"
Yes they do and I hope we can say that about the board next season when they invest some money in decent players, unlike some of the players in the past Brian.. Here's hoping ..
