Claridge In!
By Cian Duffy
November 12 2004
Steve Claridge today signed a one month contract with Brighton, and will be on the squad against West Ham on Saturday, in what could be his first league start in nearly 18 months.
The veteran striker, aged 38, has recently left his job managing Conference South team Weymouth, and may start for Brighton on Saturday. His last league appearence was also under McGhee, albeit at Milwall, in March of 2003.

Claridge is unlikely to ever be a permanent part of the team, as he is well beyond the normal retirement age for a striker, but with Robinson and Molango not being in McGhee's good books, and Virgo still potentially injured, it appears he is, for the moment, Leon Knights partner at the front.
