After making seven changes in the match against Millwall, McLeish may revert back to the usual line up. After derbyshire's performance at The Den last weekend he may be in the starting line up tonight, Bowyer is on the last match of his 3 game suspension and Valles and McFadden are still out with injuries.
During a pre match interview, Alex McLeish stated:
"When you look at the players they have got, they have great capabilities. We know it is a really tough game and if they hit top form on their home ground, they can beat anyone as they showed against Manchester United. I would ignore the fact they are fighting at the lower end of the table. They've got a lot of good players in there. It is a fresh challenge for a lot of the players and an exciting one - another test of their mental toughness. People ask what is mental toughness? It's about winning games like this and showing that you are capable and that you have it in your mentality to be a big occasion player. That is a big factor of life in general as a footballer. It is a big challenge for us. The fans are craving a bit of success at this club and we will do our very best to put a smile on their faces. I've had a lot of success in Scotland in cup finals both as a player and a manager and it would be nice to get to an English cup final."
The referee chosen for tonights match is Phil Dowd, The Staffordshire-based official has refereed 20 games this season and has produced 72 yellow cards and six reds. he will be assested by Darren Cann (Norfolk) and Simon Long (Suffolk).
