Wednesday v Barnsley Preview

By Red Army
December 13 2016

Barnsley travel to Hillsborough to take on local rivals Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.

The reds will be targeting a third straight victory following back to back wins over Birmingham City and Norwich City.

Wednesday come in to the match having been beaten 2 – 1 at Reading on Saturday, a defeat that saw them drop out of the play-off places.

The reds are six games without a win in this fixture with their last victory coming at Hillsborough in February 2009 when they beat the Owls 1 – 0.

Reds boss Paul Heckingbottom is expected to name an unchanged side in this one. Adam Armstrong will be hoping to be fit enough to return to the bench but Marley Watkins serves the third and final match of his ban.

Sheffield Wednesday will be without the injured Gary Hooper and suspended Fernando Forestieri for this one.

Reds fans lets have your predictions for this one. Can we make it three on the bounce? I think we can. I’m going 2 – 1 to the super reds.
