Until you consider that he is currently on £5000 a week and the club have offered him £20,000. Now you all know what I think about these sorts of wages but the club effectively are trying to blackmail him into signing by making him think on what he's missing out on????

Right, he signs, he gets £20,000 cool.

However he leaves and let's his contract run out, he'll get possibly £30,000 (possibly £40K and possibly £50K) from another club who pay current England internationals the going rate and recognise and want to secure his talents.(bare in mind we pay Cashfoul a tidy bit more than that)plus £1 million + in signing on fee....so what exactly does he have to lose????

Now I agree we shouldn't make him our highest earner by any means...this season has been a disappointing let down from Vass (regardless of where you lay the blame for that - public criticism, England won't do him any good, well I never expected him to score did I!!!! oh and yeah Vass, go right wing will ya!) Cue anti-Taylor comments, I said nothing.

But he is a current England International and should be one of the members of the team we want to secure in a contract....afterall hasn't Ellis' masterplan over the last 20 odd years been the development of youth???? Hasn't all his penny pinching been for when the bubble bursts and we can get those talents on the cheap, offer those contracts that no other club is in a position to offer????? Isn't that the bullshit we have been fed and continue to fed by our club???? I think you'll find it is. And I think you will it's just that...bullshit to hide the incompetance of those who run our club and the millions they have wasted in useless and unneccessary projects.

A supermarket being the latest discussion...great! However I imagine they'd lack the noose to insist on filling the supermarket with Villa own brands and get the kiddies eating minature Villa Parks made from whole grain wheat! And such similar own brand things. It may sound stupid, but it'd sell!!!

Back to the point....what position are we in, a dire one. After a terrible season the obvious rumblings bore on. Our plan is youth (so we sell the youth and won't give them what they are worth), we aren't in a position to pay millions out (surely contradicting every other piece of shit that has come out of their mouths about capitalising on this moment in football's history???

What an example to send to the rest of the youth...bust your balls in your first season...be paid a pittance in comparison to worse players than you, but don't dare ask for a rise in line with your fellow professionals or we'll bitch about you, play you out of position and then give you an ultimatum and then obviously when Darius leaves he will be the next in the long line of ambition(lol)money grabbing tossers we have employed.

Makes you really think about all those players that left doesn't it.....how many privately had that ultimatum?????

Just look at his public treatment on this issue:

Okay Ansell so what sort of category does Cashfool fall into? What categories would you put any of our players into??? Oh the bottom ones...that's why you can't sell any of them and it gives you a great excuse to pay them less than any other club......now I understand! I'm sure Vass does as well as he contemplates sticking the contract up a certain financial directors arse!

But of course I must give the last words to Taylor, who is reported as saying: "In today's deteriorating market, clubs are becoming more rigid over financial matters. You can understand why. Okay, many of our fans will argue we should reach an agreement with Darius whatever the cost, but they have to realise it doesn't work like that. Although Darius has the capacity to get people on the edge of their seats, his scoring record is not something to shout about."

Here I won't again mention right wing, multiple partners, dodgy tactics, failure of manager to motivate, failure of manager again to not comment in public as he said he wouldn't..oh dear I could go on......

It's so hard not to come off as anti Taylor when you frustration is really the board...but then again wasn't that their plan in appointing him to begin with, split and silence the fans further??

Sadly GT isn't helping himself in all of this but how he can have the cheek to comment and go back on "I won't air laundry in public", I won't criticise players etc in public and I'm staying out of the contract talks and then continue to lambast Vass is beyond me
