By Stomp Admin June 9 2008 Although season ticket prices have not been announced yet, Airdrie are living up to their promise to contact anyone who pre-registered for a season ticket using one of the forms handed out at games or if you have purchased a season ticket in the past.
It's once again up to you whether you want this information. If you do and haven't made contact with the club or if you have moved and are concerned the letter may go to your old address then take the chance to contact the club and give them your details.
No ones holding a gun to your head, but wether you like it or not it's the best way of supporting the club and giving our manager a chance of keeping us in the first division.
I can see them announcing that the prices are only frozen for people who filled the form in saying they were buying one before the end of last season, i'm sure that will go down well!!
Great news that the prices are frozen. But I think it'll take more than that to get the Negative Norman's onside. Most of these guys are actually Realistic Richards who have a better handle on how things pan out that the Positive Peters. Signing enough players to make up a team would be a start. Signing someone in defence taller than 5' 10" would be another positive step. Rather than encourage new fans, or lapsed fans to return, I think the current situation will tend to make former season ticket holders keep their money in their pockets until they see more positive steps from the club. If we couldn't get bums on seats when we were top of the league, I doubt if this will change if it looks as if we'll be the new whipping boys of this division. Still, as people like me were told constantly over the past few seasons, it's early days yet. The season is at least 5 or 6 weeks away.
