Prediction League game 36 - Airdrie 1 Vs. 2 Forfar

I have never been so happy to walk out of a season early, like every other Airdrie fan I think I've suffered some sort of penance this season and I am glad it's over and done with and at the moment I don't even want to think about next season never even mind look forward to it.

Airdrie 1 Vs. 2 Forfar - Airdrie had an early chance to take the lead but the shot from Jake Hastie was handled by the Forfar Keeper. Forfar then opened the scoring through Greg Hurst 10 minutes gone and 1-0 to Forfar. I'm not sure how many time I asked during the match how did Forfar manage to finish below us in the league because on today's showing they deserved to be leading at half time.
Airdrie were awarded a penalty late on in the match but I had already left the stadium and the season by that stage so I missed Ryan Conroy make his only contribution to the match when he made it 1-1. Forfar as you can see from the reult then finished the season on a high when Mark Miller scored from a long range freekick.
Airdrie finish the season with a whimper and that I think is the story of the season, one best forgotten.

 Prediction League.

Congratulations to Mocklin Redz who has won the Broomfield Stomp Prediction league 2017 - 2018. Runner up spots go to Thunderbird and Meesh71.

As always thank you to everyone who joined this season and kept the competition going.

Was it your car that was being blocked and wanting to leave? Agree with your season summary and if you had seen as many away games as I did, it was worse, Curiously we somehow managed to miss a last minute chance to square the game. 10 men felt no different to the missing in action personnel before McDonald's harsh red card

Nah wasn't me that had to leave but after MacDonalds sending off I just thought "i'm going out tonight I could go and grab something to eat and get ready at a leisurely pace or sit here bored out my skull and rush about later"....so I left wasn't a difficult decision.

Perfectly understood and many thanks for the prediction league even if I was rubbish. Will be back next season and hope to improve to 4th bottom.
