Airdrie have four games to go in the SPFL League 1 and I for one was hoping we would be sitting comfortably in no mans land with no fear of relegation or a relegation play off spot and no need to worry about promotion play offs. Well it doesn't look like it's meant to be once again it looks like the Dimaonds faithful will be on tender hooks right to the last minute, exciting isn't it?

Game 30 Airdrie Vs Alloa having played out a 2-2 draw with Alloa on the previous sat the result of the re-arranged match probably wasn't much of a surprise Airdrie took the lead through Daryl Duffy on 17 minutes before he was unceremoniously taken out of the game by Alloa's number 6 Garry Fleming (if my memory serves me right) cracked ribs and six weeks out has probably put an end to Daryl's season. In the dying minutes of the first half Airdrie extended our lead through Daniel Higgins only for Alloa to be awarded a very late penalty from which the afore mention Garry Fleming scored. The half ended 2-1 in Airdries favour. In the second half Airdrie never really reappeared, with no one to hold the ball up Alloa battered our defence breaking through on the 67th minute when Jordan Kirkpatrick scored the equaliser. Thankfully that was all she wrote Airdrie and Alloa shared the spoils once again, 2-2 it ended.

Game 31 - Airdrie where art thou - Airdrie started the game the same way we finished the match against Alloa, in turmoil, the changes were rung and it simply didn't work. Square pegs in round holes came to mind. It took Raith Rovers 20 minutes to be 2-0 up thier first goal scored after only 8 minutes through Lewis Vaughan. On the 20th minute Jason Thomson made it 2-0. We were getting destroyed and the only suprise was it wasn't four or five nil at half time. Then there was hope Airdrie have a corner Scott Stewart leaps and it's 2-1 to the Diamonds and the fight back is on.....no not really we held out to lose the game 2 - 1.

Game 32 - Could make this one i'm afraid, but I believe the highlights are Chris O'niell is sent off for a rash challenge or throwing a punch in the ensuing melee the game ended 0-0.

Prediction League

Can Mockin Redz hold on to top spot? He is three points clear with four games to go twelve points to play for and it's still to be won.

You did not miss much as has been the case in so many away games. Have not seen the video clips but the rammy was only the 2nd time I got off my cold plastic seat. In some ways I would like QP to go down just for the sake of missing out on Hampden and I do like Derbies with the Rovers; as they have now lost 5 in a row they must be panicking. Forfar can be ok to visit but with Peterhead/Montrose looking good and Brechin on way back we could have so many far trips that I hope QP do survive. On a positive note I moved up the table one position but still have been unable to predict a correct score-how do others manage it?

It's easy for me picking 2-1 every game but I believe it all comes down to instinct.

If your instinct tells you we're going to win 1-0, tell your instinct to get lost and do the opposite.

My instincts were too optimistic for most of the season and I will take your advice in the four remaining games and look forward to an improvement next season.
