Prediction League Wk 8 Round Up - Airdrie 3 Vs 2 Cowdenbeath

Airdrieonians make it three wins in a row as after the home win against Cowdenbeath in the Ladbrokes SPFL league one. As always we had to do it the hard way but three points are three points especially ahead of next weeks derby match.

Airdrie took the lead on the half our mark when Coalan MCleer played in David Cox, Cox looked as though he had missed his chance but he pulled the ball back and slipped the ball beyond Sneddon. Airdria were then forced to make our first substitution when Van Zanten was ruled unfit to conitnue by the physio. Jamie Bain replaced him.
This is not a critisism it's just a personal opinion, I hate it when a substitution forces the repositionion of more than one player, I know it sound like I may be saying this with hindsite but I always feels it distrupts the team to much and so it proved when O'Neil moved to left back to all Bain to play on the right.  A few minutes after the change and Airdrie still hadn't settled in to the new positions, some miscommunication between the defence and poor tackle gave Cowdenbeath a penalty. Robbie Buchanan stepped up and slotted home to Parry's right hand side to level the score. It seemed like half time came at the right time for Airdrie.

Cowdenbeath started the second half brighter and go thier deserved reward ten minutes from the restart, a cross in from the far side found Andy Murdoch in space at the near post and he volleyed home to give Cowdenbeath the lead. The rest of the half came down to the substitues Bryan Prunty and Coalan MCleer were replaced by Morgan and Hunter. Bollan switched to a four three three formation and Airdrie fought to try and get back in the game.
It took a (I'll say this with tongue in cheek) wonder goal to get Airdrie back in to the match. On loan George Hunter struck the ball and it ended in the back of the net, was it a cross? Was it meant? who cares the score was 2 - 2!
The third and final goal came when Taylor Morgan played a fantastic cross across the pitch the Hunter, Hunter played in Liam Watt who fire home for the winner. Airdrie win 3-2.

Prediction league update.

Not only did Airdrie win our third match in a row but we also have a new leader in the Prediction league The Man in Black that mased stranger has stolen the lead...but only by one point.

I think I owe George Hunter an apology if you have a look at the video clip on Diamond TV it looks like he picks out his spot.
