Team against Brighton - welcome to the emotional coaster-roller ride

You know how Wenger's teams are always like.
A scintillating performance in Europe and then down in the dump the very next league game.
Inconsistent and always under-estimated lower position opponents.
Always same excuse that they are a leetle "tired" after returning from Europe.

Well, in Europa Cup, Wenger can afford to rest 10 senior players, rotate the squad and no more such excuses.

Plus same old mentality, no killer instinct such that after being 2-0 up, they started showboating with flicks, back-heels, losing their shape and discipline and suddenly 2-1, squeaky bum time, clinging on by a fingernail or worse, opponents equalized during injury-time or last kick of the game.

Can we see another 4-0 win or Brighton decided to park a bus and go home with 0-0 draw?

Koscielny chronic Achilles injury flared up again and most likely out.

We knew that Giroud tends to score goals in clutches and it will be a right time to start him against a championship like Brighton and will expect him to continue scoring. And it is the ideal game to test out the Giroud-Lacazette partnership now.

.................................. Cech

............Holding........Mustafi............Monreal

...Bellerin ... Ramsey ..... Xhaka ... Kolasinac

.............Lacazette ................. Alexis
............................. Giroud

but if Wenger should decide to maintain the team shape, Ramsey should play as No. 10 and push Maitland-Niles in midfield to rest a tired Giroud:

.....................................Cech

............Holding...........Mustafi...........Monreal

...Bellerin ...Maitland-Niles ... Xhaka ... Kolasinac

............. Ramsey .............. Alexis
............................. Lacazette

And if Alexis does not produce a committed performance, a "fit-again" is ready to take his spot as a No. 10 in the 2nd half - chances galore created for Lacazette, substitute Giroud and Ramsey to score.

We do not miss a MIA Ozil nor a certain OX who unbalanced the team.
We play better as a TEAM of runners without both of them.
