Now back to the subject - or close to it.

Simon I don't get the argument defending the Board because they didn't take dividends. The fact is it looks as if they made a lot more money be manipulating the Club's money, by limiting how of it was spent from 2005 on. Many investors do just this - they make money from their company's money rather than from their company's product.

So we have have this question. Would rather have the following

1) Shareholders taking 50 million pounds out of the club the last six six years but 18 million pounds a year more in transfer spending by the club - a net spend of 12 million pounds each year.

2) the Share price topping out at 5000-6000 per share before the club was sold off, netting shareholders profits in the range of 120-150 million pounds, but 12 million pounds more a year in transfer spending - a net spend of a bout 6 million pounds per year - the same level as from 1998-2005.

3) The share price topping out at 11700 punds per share before the club was sold, netting shareholders profits of about 300 million pounds in part because of limits on trnafer spending and top-end wages that resulted in a net transfer profit of six million pounds per year the last seven years now?

Would the Board and shareholders taking dividends have been worse for the club than the option they opted for? It is the sole reason they redeveloped Highbury by all indications since not one penny of that money has in fact been used either to increase transfer spending or decrease the stadium debt. Indeed the only part of our debt Highbury Square has paid for is fact the loan we took out to complete that single project. Classic stock doping by every indication we have.
