Does anyone know where the cheapest Wisdens can be purchased? Having seen on Amazon and the Book Depository that the price for 2011's edition is only slightly below 2012's, I figured my plan of waiting for the 2012 edition to fall in price is probably not worth it. Both Amazon and TBT are selling it for £32 - does anyone know if it can be found any cheaper elsewhere?
I was thinking about that too but wanted to check the prices and forgot to do that last time. I doubt I'll make it back to Lord's now because I'm at Arsenal tomorrow and though I could make it back for the final session, the forecast suggests no play after lunch. Given that, I doubt I'll bother with Sunday - no prospect of a result and unlikely we'll see masses of cricket anyway. With that in mind, I'll probably get it from Amazon....
Wisden are offering a deal whereby you can buy this year's edition and next year's edition for 25 each (hardback) but you need to set up a direct debit with them. This may be for MCC members only, but it's worth checking.
£25 each for 2 years worth of Wisden Seli, that's half price at least.I bet the publishers are banking on some of those MCC members not being around to read/take the second years issue.
Luke, generally with books on the Internet "superstores" I find if you leave it till a week or two after they are released they have stock overruns and put the book in the bargain bin/clearance area at a well reduced price. This always pees me off as I have often paid full price for said book.
So if your not desperate to read it hang back a bit.
Just checked the Wisden website and the offer is open to everyone. They also throw in the Wisden Guide to International Cricket 2012 for free. Seems like a good deal.
However, there is postage of 3.50 each year so may not be competitive if free postage elsewhere, but there is the free copy of the international guide to compensate.

Hmmm....that looks like an extremely clever ruse. Surely the direct debit means that I will continue to be charged for future Wisdens after 2013 at full price - in other words, 2 for 1 at first, then full price every year afterwards....
