Although I am looking forward to my first visit to see cricket at Lord's this season, I can't say I enjoy the prospect of playing Surrey, as the atmosphere on MTWD tends to be at its least pleasant at derby time. However, I will be able to attend the majority of the match, so I will be away from MTWD during match time. I have a dread of what the atmosphere on MTWD would be like when our recent good County Championship record v Surrey eventually comes to an end. Hopefully I will be made to wait to find the answer to my question. I like to treat opponents with respect due to superstition, so I am unlikely to use any derogatory terms over the coming days.
Although none of Middlesex's England players will be available, Surrey will be able to call upon Steven Davies.

shows that the pitch will be about three from the end on the Grand Stand side, so I guess I will see lots of the vermin. Lower Mound has since told me it is a tradition for early-season matches to take place on that side of the ground, so clearly it is hardly news for me to say that is where the pitch will be.
