Almost impossible to use Virgin Trains for Wembley: [pbs.twimg.com]

Only train alternative I can think of, and I don't know if they're also affected that weekend, is a train to Birmingham New St then 5 minute walk across to Moor Street station for a Chiltern service into Marylebone....some of which actually stop at Wembley Stadium on the way. Brum to London on Chiltern is just over two hours usually.

1908 from Euston gets back to chester 2200.

Usual bank holiday rail buggeration ☹

Being a southern SWA you all have my deepest sympathy! Been battling for years sorting trains out up North and suffering cancellations, delays, engineering works every other Saturday! Being purely selfish I'm glad I do not have to worry about this on the 25th. Good luck everyone with what ever form of transportation you use!

Bloody typical UK..I am lucky living in HK, nothing ever stops here, it has to be the most remarkably efficient Metropolis on the planet..if anything does stop here it sure isnt for long and its resolved very quickly..time is money here..

Getting there doesn't seem to be a problem.

Getting back is a bit hairy with only 1 direct train to Liverpool and the rest going via Manchester or stopping and Crewe + a bus

What do you all expect ,it’s bank holiday time .its always been the same .while everyone is on a bank holiday they use this quiet time to do repairs to the rail system it’s the only chance to get it done ,very inconvenient and not much fun for the traveller.heavy traffic on the roads as well ,nightmare .if anyone watched the excellent series “Paddington station you could actually see the time and money spent keeping the rail system running and how the smooth running can change in an instant .its a Logistical nightmare
