It's not PSV, it's FC Eindhoven. They are Dutch second tier and the ground is pretty small, under 5000 for sure. Probably would make a good friendly and not wildly different standards.

He did play a handful of games for them before coming over to us yeah.

We've had an un-official affiliation of sorts for more than a few years now with FC Eindhoven, our fans go to their games also (OSC has more details as i believe it's the majority of them that go across).

Well it would make a change from the usual pre season fixtures we should play League club friendlies maybe Blackpool yes Fleetwood is fine and let Dave challinor fetch AFC Fylde non League but would definitely get a tough test or our Welsh chums Wrexham and hopefully Liverpool again that’s a good mix

I`d be well up for that. Weekend in Holland with a game thrown in. What`s not to like about that especially as any travelling fans will receive an extremely friendly welcome from our Dutch friends. I coould see us taking a few over if it was to happen.

Lol nice one fifty, which wares are you talking about, the knitting or er....? I know you have been to the Philippines before, did you ever visit Angeles City when you were there? Its a bit of an eye and wallet opener. There is only ONE thing to spend your money on in that town .ive been there once or twice before and I sure didnt purchase any knitting lol..Angeles, probably the biggest whorehouse town in Asia if not the world.

Nice one fifty, get in there my son..Big White Chief lol...ive been to Bacolod once before. Big sugar plantations there.they had an old steam engine freight train running through all the fields collecting up all the sugar cane. Everything is sweet in the flips lol..The flips is the best country in Asia for fun n frolics and Indonesia the best for cultural diversity. Great country Indonesia ( big archipelago like the flips ) I went island hopping there, got as far as the island of Komodo to see the dragons.

Nice one fifty, its great fun travelling wish I could do it again, getting a bit older now and fatter n more n more skint. Had some good fun travelling really low budget across asia. Some digs in places like indonesia were as low as one quid a night and they would throw in a breakfast aswell which usually consisted of a cup of black coffee, a banana pancake and a few slices of cut mango.ive eaten everything on my travels, snake, frog, lizard, caribou, fried locusts/grasshoppers, shark, jellyfish ( apart from being a tad salty there is no taste whatsoever ) and crocodile, crocodile meat is yummy. Most crocodile meat comes off the tail. Had a big chunk of crocodile steak off the tail with some crusty bread , a side salad and dip the meat in a plum sauce, yummy yummy..did u ever try to eat a 'balut egg' when u were in the flips? Wouldnt recommend it lol..ive never had any health problems with the food n drink. Get the squirts now n then but nothing major.just be careful what u eat n drink in certain areas, but never really a problem, just follow the old travel rule ' if u can see sea, then eat the fish.' Dengue fever can be a problem across SE Asia and u can get it in urban areas. A few rural islands across indonesia have malaria and when I was there slept under a mosquito net and lit a slow burning moaquito coil at night. Also at night I wore a thin long sleeve top n long thin pants and socks on my feet. B*stard mosquitoes always go for ankles n feet. Never had a problem. Some travellers would take anti malaria tablets but i didnt bother. Heard that malaria meds can mess about with your kidneys n cause your hair to fall out. My only worry health wise when on the road are packs of stray dogs. Some horrible old manky dogs and canine Rabies is rife across some parts. Its a horrible awful disease. I once encountered an aggressive pack of dogs in mainland china but managed to avoid them, no idea if they were rabid or not..when I first came to HK, I dated a filipina lass and her uncle died from rabies. He was a cyclo driver ( bicycle taxi ) and was bitten by a dog running out of an alley way as he was riding his cyclo. He never went to the doctor until about 6 weeks later when he got sick and the symptoms had set in. Too late then, 100% fatal once symptoms appear. Awful way to go..did a bit of hitchhiking on the road too in places like vietnam, truckers will pick u up and I would give them a few western ciggies n western sweets/ candies..I once had a western porno mag in my bag pack and gave it to this vietnamese trucker that had given me a lift..eyes popped out of his head and he swerved righrt across the road lol..he could only speak a tiny amount of english but western ciggies n porno mags were the international language lol..went to the ho chi minh mausoleum in hanoi and scrambled down on my hands n knees thru some of the old vietnam war, war tunnels. hanoi was much more interesting than saigon..some good travellin in asia, a lot to see and culturally diverse too. Have a bit of fun with the young ladies too, but watch out for those katoys ( a katoy is a ladyboy ) keep away from those F*cking freaks. There are a few sad old sex cases over here. 80 yr old aussies, brits scandanavians n germams with a pretty young 20 yr old asian lass hanging off them like a rag doll.

Went backpacking on my own in new zealand nearly 30 yrs ago now..flew from sydney into auckland and spent 7 weeks travelling across north n south islands .Apart from spending a few dollars on a public bus from auckland airport to auckland city travellers hostel, I didnt spend another dollar on travelling expenses during the entire time i was there..Hitchhiked everywhere. Its probably the best country in the world for hitchiking and you never wait long for a ride. The kiwi people are great, prefer them to the aussies. Its not the truckers that pick u up, its just normal motorists. Longest I think I ever waited for a lift was about 30 mins. I spent a couple of days hitchhiking with this german lass but really difficult to get a lift, the kiwis will only pick up one hitcher and very rarely two, so we dumped each other, she went her way and I went mine. All sorts of people would give me a lift, a really elderly lady picked me up once. One day I was on the road about 2 hrs north of wellington and it was getting late and the sun was setting and I had my thumb out and this little nissan car pulled over. The driver was on his own and an absolute huge brute of a fella. He was a maori/ samoan..I was a tad wary about getting in the car but I got in anyway, but there was no need to worry. He was a diamond bloke, really friendly. He only lived 20 mins down the road and he took me to his house to meet his wonderful family and they fed me and let me stay the night. Great people..when I was on the south island I was hitching in a really remote area on the west side of the island near the town of greymouth. Had my thumb out on this rural highway and looking down this highway I could see this old stationwagon ( a bit like an old volvo estate car ) coming along and he was swerving a bit across the highway, I thought at first it was a problem with the car but when he pulled over and wound down the window I could smell the alcohol..he was pretty sozzled and wasnt far from passing out so we agreed to chuck him in the back seat and I drove the couple of hours to my destination with him collapsed in the back seat lol..got to my destination , woke him up and paid for his bed In the hostel I stayed at. One of the best christmases ive ever had was in NZ. Xmas day in a travellers hostel in the town of Nelson. 8am xmas morning the maori staff in the hostel dug a big deep hole in the garden/ grounds of the hostel and placed some big boulders in the hole and lit a fire till the boulders got hot. We all chipped in to buy some chicken n lamb n sweet potatoes , wrapped it all up in toil foil , placed the food over the hot boulders and filled up the hole again with all the soil we had dug up. It slowly cooked and about 7 hrs later dug it up and had our xmas dinner..the 20 odd travellers n myself got all the beers n alcohol in and spent a great time getting sloshed with the maori staff. Great people. I think they call this meal a 'hunghi.'
