Waring
02 August, 2018 15:59
In his post-match interview, MM said that all available players had played. Is Waring available? If not, why? Is he injured? It's bizarre. He was at Stoke who were then a mid-table Premier League side so he can't be a really bad player. Why hasn't he played? He was given a two-year contract so he must have been rated. Last season, he had hardly any time on the pitch and was then loaned out. This season, no word about him at all.

Being at a premier league club does not signify any great merit. Many players get released and end up with quite obscure non league clubs. He was never a first team contender at Stoke

So why a two-year contract?

Was it Mellons decision? I believe last summer's signings were palios picks. Signings from October onwards were Mellons after he threatened to quit

There is absolutely no evidence for that and if it were so than Mellon would be a lesser manager for accepting the situation and Palois would n
be a lesser chairman for exceeding his role.
I would not demean either with such speculation

I'd normally be inclined to agree with Devon's point but then there was the signing of Louis Almond - a transfer completed when we didn't have a manager and, of course, a player who didn't feature in the new manager's plans. I had my doubts before that too, for example I can't believe Hume was a Micky Adams signing.

We'll probably never know and, even if it was happening, it seems to have stopped. So onwards and upwards.

Speak to Louis Almonds' dad and you'll get a few choice words on that saga.

Name a club that hasn't done that even in the last 20 years.
