Ajax played Wolves this afternoon (at Walsall) so I doubt they'll have put a strong side out against Walsall. Good to see the big man finally getting off the mark though, but playing against Ajax won't prepare him for facing Steeeeeve!

I rather hope it will not be McNulty that he is facing any of Sutton,Monthe,or Ellis could be a better pairing

Agree with you on that Devon, I think Sutton and Ellis will be our first choice centre backs. If they stay fit I can't see McNulty starting to many league games and as you say we have Monthe who can play in a variety of positions.

We were having much the same discussion about McNulty on here a year ago and he proved the doubters wrong. Saying that, I doubt he'll be a virtual ever-present this season but I reckon he'll still be first choice at the start of the season. And, out of all our centre backs, I reckon he's best equipped to deal with Cookie.

Am sure the big man will get a good reception and rovers knock Walsall out the cup
