Hi all,

I've won two tickets to any home Tranmere game next season. Which of the following ought to be a better game, ideally one with a good atmosphere which both teams stand a decent chance of winning. I'm guessing Oldham?

24/11 - Oldham
08/12 - Cambridge
29/12 - Yeovil
05/01 - Northampton

Thanks in advance!

Oldham should have a good atmosphere being local decent crowd some rivalry so imo I'd go Oldham game especially if you wanted an atmosphere. as for us standing a good chance of winning Tranmere never make anything easy I'm still recovering from the play-off final in May!

Thanks, I'll go for that one then! Who are the best Tranmere players to look out for? Any good local pubs we should visit?

Hi there.

Where are you coming from?
How are you travelling?
How long are you staying?

The Wirral is a beautiful place and some great pubs... so long as the weather is ok!

For situation and views the Boathosuse in Parkgate (decent food) and the Tap at Eastham Ferry are good.

Closer to the ground, if you start queuing up overnight at the Birch Tree (next to the ground) you might get served by kick-off... not that it's THAT busy, it's just that the staff enjoy stacking glasses rather than actually serving!

Can also recommend the Halfway house on corner of Storeton Road and Woodchurch Road and the Saddle Club on Roman Road, just off Prenton Dell Road.

Don't forget the fan park, if you want a decent matchday experience with both sets of fans then head into there at some point.
