Its interesting to note Lincolns approach to the Checkatrade last season on their way to victory in the final. Whereas most fans boycotted games, with attendances below 1k, the Lincoln fans didnt.. Lincoln had an attendance of over 3k at Sincil Bank for their group game vs Everton U21s and in the semi final vs Chelsea U21s at Sincil Bank they had a full house of just under 10k. In the final at Wembley they took over 25k fans.. Will be interesting to see if fans across the country continue to boycott it again this coming season.
Hi Hong Kong Rover
Not only that we made quite a bit of money out of the Checkatrade Trophy between £800K - £900K & also last seasons practically full houses at Sincil Bank & that following on from our good FA Cup run & winning the National League the previous season has stood us in a decent financial position.
So the FA Cup & The CheckaTrade Trophy are worth getting as far as you can in them even if some fans disagree with it, the money helps your club progress.
