I purchased todays Liverpool echo hoping to read a match report on yesterdays 4-0 win v dungfermline - but there is not even a single word about the game- I think that is terrible. I thought the echo covered Merseyside football - the last time I checked- tranmere rovers is on Merseyside. anyone else agree.

Interesting comments from MM in the Echo about the difficulties and frustrations of trying to bring in new players, and slightly surprising that the budget is similar to last season's.

one thing I have noticed so far this summer is that lots of league 1 and 2 clubs are bringing in players on full one season loans. not a massive fan of the loan system myself but would it be worth considering a full season loan for a striker to replace cook???
