Reading a few threads on here who are going north ,has the game time changed .Lot of friendlies this saturday have brought there kick off time forward to 12pm
Not seen any news.
We'll have the same issue next Wednesday if England beat Sweden as the semi would clash with the Liverpool game. Liverpool already apparently refusing to move their 3pm kick off at Chester on Saturday - suppose a WC QF isn't that big a deal for Klopp, being German!
I agree about the sluggish comment. We lacked pace in certain areas. I could see DAFC trying to exploit those areas. If they had taken one of their early chances the final score could have been very different. We will get torn apart by teams that have pace out wide if this is not addressed.
Also felt that there was a hole in midfield. Attributed it to new players and all the changes. Keen to see who we start with tonight and whether we will be more compact. If not we may suffer Chester's fate.
"It was pretty comfortable for them in the second half. We were not getting close enough to them and they were finding the extra man in the pockets and we weren`t able to do that"
From watching the highlights, I can’t teakly make any comment, other then how well we took our goals. The highlights were really only of Dunfermline so can’t really judge the match.
Only thing I would say, is assuming that was mainly their players that will be used this season, then it’s a good indication for us. The SPL is largely around league 1 standard, so where we want to be really.
As usual, pre season games have to be treated cautiously either way.
We had a weeks training in Scotland and our first game at Dunfermline who, had already played two games and started training earlier, so a 4-0 result is a positive.
Obviously, MM will have seen things to improve on and as we play more competitive friendlies, it will become apparent where strengthening and improvement are required.
Early days, almost a month to the start of the season.
Judging by our result up at Dunfermline, then maybe we would have done well in this seasons Irn Bru Scottish Challenge Cup competition. We would have been in it if we hadnt got promoted and had accepted an offer n invite from the SPFL to participate in it...Will be interesting to see how Borehamwood and Sutton Utd get on in the Irn Bru this season.

We could be facing a few ex Rovers lads in our pre-season friendlies, Max Power at Wigan, Eddie Clarke at Fleetwood, Joe Thompson at Rochdale and Steve Jennings at Warrington ( or has Jenno returned to Southport? )
Up top and he had a quiet one. May come good over the weeks due to linking up more but we’ll have to wait until this weekend and beyond to really get a taste of if it will work.
