It’s forecast to rain heavily all day, suspect they will not inspect the pitch until 2-30 given that there is no travel involved for either side.

Be very surprised if it goes ahead, given ours was called off with less rain and better drainage.

Ground staff at Chester are shortly to have a meeting but at this moment in time they are NOT unduly worried about the pitch.

If it gets called off, surely it could be very expensive for CFC. The policing costs alone must be massive and we all know that every penny counts for them. See on our website there is a message to the fan to behave and says about a tiny minority at Liverpool. Did they not watch the TV, if that was a tiny minority, then I don’t know what’s a large number. I for one find the piece quite condescending and totally un needed.

Think the grounds men don’t won’t to spoil it and giving it every chance. So the ref will make the final decision.

Forecasts are showing the rain stopping within the hour. They will decide at the last minute and give it every chance.

You'd think the guy with the roller would move on a bit instead of going over the same spot.

Maybes he’s putting a secret patch into the surface bit like a cricket ball, bit of top spin on the cross

Pitch looks better than ours. What has happened to our Tranmere lives when we are scrolling the internet looking for 5 second clips of a groundsman at an away game.

Perhaps it's because we've joined the non league circuit and it's habit forming.

The pitch was fine. The groundstaff did a great job.

Maybe if people look at history of games called off they would be les prone to emotional panic

I think that after the two bank holiday cancellations, there was an entitlement for some to have concerns about today's game. "Emotional panic" seems a little harsh. All due respect to those who made the effort to ensure the game was on today.
