I know a lot of the guys have trouble getting coverage of the Tranmere games ,I have just bought the Alexa home hub from Amazon £90 when connected you ask the device to play you any song/band /group and it will play them and it will pick up any radio station in the U.K. so no matter we’re Tranmere are you can get commentary , I hope this helps and I am considered a cool cat as opposed to the voice of doom 😎 you can buy apps for this so it will switch your lights/tv on order a taxi adjust your c/h .no doubt some on here have them ,but I just thought about my chums on here quietly sobbing on Saturday afternoon no commentary on there beloved whites now you can

Sounds good for it's wider uses.

For the purpose of picking up commentary, the app on my phone is just called "Simple Radio". Did a good job for Wirral radio and looks easy enough to tune in to other stations. Free with the odd advert.

However I think I'll have to make do with the club's official commentary

Thank you ,I like this echo device not so much for rovers commentary, but the music you can have at your command ,get my teddy boy suit out the wardrobe and listen to 60s music or what ever you want ,songs that you thought you would never hear again just asked and the song comes on all in dab and 6speakers ,no interference ,but forgot to add it’s £10 a month ,well worth the money

I don't want to burst your bubble but.......
On the day of the match at W'ham I was being shown this gizmo. It did all sorts but when I asked it to play Wirral Radio it came up with an American country music show.Be warned. It's not infallible.I use Simple Radio app free from Amazon.
Hope you get a lot of pleasure from it 50.

Thanks ,my brother has one it’s excellent ,that American country music you got pete69 I would love that it’s a month trial so see how it goes I did a bit of trucking in the USA with a friend of mine 24/7 country music .i think Loyden and HKR would commit suicide listening to that ,it’s amazing how many guys in country music have been dumped by the girls bitten by the dog ,gambled all the money ,lost the farm .ended up as a hobo and finally life in Jail.now you know why it’s being so cheerful that keeps me going.
Sorry guys it’s a long week with nothing on the rovers front 😡

On the commentary front, if you listen via the clubs mixlr app at the weekend, you will find the Wirral radio commentary team.

Now this is something that can easily work with little funding long term I guess?

+1. Will I be able to get mixlr online for commentary? When I listened to wirral radio all I did was switch on my computer, go on to google and type in wirral radio live and got commentary. It couldnt be easier.

I feel terrible now. Does that mean they've sacked the usual pair?

I had a slight preference for Wirral radio but the official commentary was fine.

I don't think they will be sacked, Paul Harper is the club's Communications Manager, and Andy Doyle is part of the supporters club. I don't want to be critical of them, it was important that the club had its own output and they stepped in to provide it.
