Consensus of most county supporters is he was awful to begin with but is the first name on the teamsheet now. He put in a match winning performance last night in the trophy... did we mess up ?

He's playing well at a level beneath ours, and where he has performed well in the past. Perhaps we did the right thing but taking a chance on him, and the right thing by letting him go. Just because a transfer doesn't work out, or releasing a player gets them to perform, doesn't mean the decisions were wrong.

I didn't see enough of him to know if he should enough potential here to be fair, so I'm making a general point rather than based on his games.

Stockport County
A GB signing. Never given a run in the team by GB. Then frozen out by MM at a time when Tollitt burst on to the scene. So not sure we messed up - he is playing well at the level we signed him from.
Am I right in thinking he went to Stockport for free - but with a sell on clause?

Never did rate him ,never looked if he was going to do much ,it’s just my thought but I thought he was either to laid back or Lazy never went for a 50/50 ball .but good luck to him at Stockport ,perhaps he has found his level

I thought he had decent potential but it’s a bit of a luxury to hang onto potential when the squad is short.

Never giving enough game time and another who sustained a long term injury last season.

I only recall him coming on as a substitute and find it difficult to form an overall opinion, did show some nice touches and ball control from memory.

We beat off competition from a number of clubs to sign him from Chorley (actually paying a fee?)so we obviously saw something in him and he had scored quite a few goals at that level.

Free Transfer to county with sell on clause as stated.

The reasons to sign him were obvious, as he was a winger from a level below racking up 17 goals, but the reasons to release him were perhaps less obvious from the outside looking in as his playing time was limited.

I personally felt sorry for him when he left as I felt he could have offered more with a good run of games but, as he never proved one way or the other how good he was, I cannot feel more or less happy with the alternatives this season in comparison, I can only rate alternative wingers as a standalone thing and so far the types of players being used like Cole and Mottley-Henry have been credible.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
