Attendances
24 January, 2018 22:25
It's interesting to note that our maximum away attendance - so far - for this season is just 3,371 - placing us 24th and last in the overall standings. Yet this coming Saturday we will leapfrog to the top of the table after the Wrexham game. Of course most of the other teams ahead of us at the moment are there because they've played at Prenton Park. It also means we shall lose our place at the head of the table - for the time being at least - for the highest home attendance of 7,172 as Wrexham will overtake us.

Now there's a sensible comment, well written 'downhill', perhaps the return of young Tollitt & Cook might be the boost to start it off.

See that Lincoln had an attendance of just under 10,000 last night to see them reach Wembley for the first time in the clubs history with a semi final win vs Chelseas academy in the Checkatrade Trophy.. I am glad to see that it won't be an academy side at Wembley for the final, Lincoln will play either Shrewsbury or Yeovil in the Wembley final.. Surprised that the Lincoln fan 'Import' hasn't come on to our forum today, gloating and telling us all about it.. Also noticed that Notts County vs Crewe last Saturday in league 2 had an attendance of over 17,000, think they charged just 2 quid to get in. Not much joy for them last night at Swansea though, they were well hammered.

Maybe if everything goes right we could have a £2 game and break the league record that probably never be beaten .

I think its Bristol Rovers that hold the record attendance figure in the NL, About 11,000 I think.. Tranmere not far behind that though when we had over 10,000 vs Aldershot in last seasons play off semi.

On the subject of last nights FA Cup replays , did anyone see the state of the pitch at Rochdale? blimey o'reilly!!! Millwall boss, Neil Harris complaining that some Rochdale fans invaded the pitch after the final whistle to goad the Millwall fans..What a f*cking cockney w*nker Harris is, it was only last May that loads of his millwall @#$%& fans invaded the wembley pitch to goad the Bradford team n fans in the league 1 play off final. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Horrible little man (Harris, remember him from his playing days at Millwall) and a horrible set of supporters, who will never change and deserve each other.

Getting a taste of their own medicine for a change at lowly Rochdale (second from bottom Division 1)

Believe there were 740 Rovers fans at Orient yday, that's a good turnout.. See the league 2 fixture yday, Coventry v Accrington had an attendance of over 28,000. free tickets for school kids and just 5 quid entry for others.

Danny Cowley was on the Channel 5 Saturday Night Football and was asked that direct question.

Basically, they (he and his brother) have started a project at Lincoln which they want to see through. Didn't elaborate on exactly what the ultimate conclusion was but, did say they now have 7,000 season ticket holders and are averaging 9 to 10000 per home game.

They also have Lincoln's first Wembley Cup Final.

You could say at this moment in time we'd take it to be as high as lowly Rochdale.

Highest crowd in the VL today only Swindon (just 5713) had a larger crowd in FL2.

AFC Wimbledon, Gillingham & Scunny had lower crowds in FL1 and we almost beat Burton A in the Championship and they were playing Notts F.

Hopefully, we will beat our biggest crowd of the season on Tuesday against Macc, as surely they will bring a decent following?

Makes u think about some of these attendance figures, yesterday in NL only 464 turned out to see Borehamwood v Gateshead and in the NLN over 3,000 yesterday at FCUM v Stockport County...have to say that the young manager at Borehamwood is doing a decent job, think he has just signed an extension to his contract.

Just looked at the average attendances in league two for the season to date. There are only seven teams with higher numbers than TRFC.
