From Wembley to North Ferriby; you know how to change the mood mini_andy! Candlelight, bottle of red wine, Barry White softly playing in the background, you've slipped into your Rovers dressing gown, flowers adorn the neatly prepared table, you're wearing your expensive cologne,a seductive, sultry look upon your face; "You know that trip of a lifetime we'd planned; well...have I got a surprise for you!"
Good luck with that one!

A win for the Rovers tomorrow is what I forecast to ease your heartache.

I think we will loose this one, North Ferriby hammered, getting relegated, fired up to go down in a blaze of glory, no creativity or drive in the Rovers side over run and out battled, 2-0 Ferriby.

I'm looking at a few changes to players and formation here. Noted no immediate return of injuries or use of funds for 'new faces' (yet), - so MM expects........ think a win by two should be sufficient to restore some faith (or MM might be seeing M & N P, for a little chat !!!). Personally I feel Buxton & Stockton should feature in this one, with Cook MOM. Oh and Mangan will not score again.

Maybe if the whole crowd got behind the players at home, then we might see some improvements. You can see negativity on here, and we only represent a small % of the crowd. If this transfers to Prenton park, then around 5-10% will be expecting us to struggle.

Away from home the fans seam to push the players on a bit.

Lincoln have been caught by FGR and although they have games in hand, they are showing signs of a wobble.

When you analyse the FA Trophy results, theirs was slightly worse, as they were playing a team from the bottom, whereas we played a decent Macc team who could very well get into the play offs.

That said, we need to win this tonight to keep up any chance of catching FGR or Lincoln.

Hopefully we can reignite our good form and pip both these teams to the title.

I would feel a lot more comfortable if MM brought in one or two reinforcements to enable us to change our tactics when up against it.

Recent games have been nail biting affairs and very difficult to see how were able to catch the big boys at the top.

A decent win tonight could bring some confidence back and help us kick on.

just seen a pic of the blue shirt that the team will be wearing tonight on the club website. must say I like it and prefer it to both the home and away shirts.. 2-0 for the rovers tonight.. hoping Lincoln drop points tonight at borehamwood.. borehamwood are undefeated in their last 4 matches and haven't conceded in those 4 games. they've had 3 scoreless draws and a 5-0 demolition of dover. mind u Lincoln won 2-0 at borehamwood about 1 month ago in the FA trophy.

I'm hoping for a decent win with a clean sheet, and Lincoln to drop points.

As I pointed out above, Lincoln also went out of the cup but to lesser opposition. Could this be the start of their wobble?

FGR and the Daggers are also blowing hot and cold.

If we can win in style tonight, and Lincoln lose, then hopefully we can go on a decent run?

We don't have a divine right to go back up.

Why is it criminal?
Do we have the biggest budget for players - NO
Do we have a settled management team who had the opportunity for a pre season - NO
Have we suffered more than our fair share of injuries - Probably, recent serious injuries to key players have been very damaging
Is it fair to say that a lot of teams raise their games when playing against us - a matter of opinion but a I would say yes for sure.

Can someone explain why it is criminal if we don't get out of the league this season?

Difficult to not get a little excited seeing how the league has opened up. Let's be honest, we all thought Lincoln were going to storm it and be about 10pts clear by now.

Hopefully this is a sign that we're back in form. Obviously not getting carried away but things are looking on the up.

Keep the faith SWA

P.S. Micky keep an eye an Almond. 2 goals tonight away from home against York. Would surely be a good card to have up our sleeve off the bench. The lad can score goals.

the kav
Norwood missed quite a few too, he cannot fiddle his stats with penos anymore

2-one of which hit the woodwork. Exactly how is it ''fiddling his stats''?

Sorry mate i didnt think they counted if they hit the post i do apologise, look how many of norwoods goals have come from open play its not great only about a goal every 5 games. Perhaps if he hits the keeper like he always does when hes clean through we should count them too

We've just won 4-1 away and you're STILL having a dig .Unbelievable.''Always'like he did against Eastleigh at home you mean? By the way,you didn't answer my question.

With the exception of a few posters on here, where are all these 3-nils and 4 nils coming from???? I have said it many, many times we can't score GOALS. Until we play with 2 wingers we are lucky to score even one goal.
He of little faith !
I am speechless, embarrassed and have egg on my face!!

ive lost track how many times FGR get last min goals at home. nevertheless great result for TRFC . get in rovers n jay harris.. see louis almond got a couple of goals for southport tonight.
You wouldn't catch us getting last minute winners (Sm161).
I think Almond's loan period must be almost up, should he be bought back or left there ?

Did he play many games before going on loan? I remember the pre-season friendly at Southport when for me he looked like he had real potential. I was glad when we signed him. I think if we can bring him back for the rest of the season he could do a good job for us.

Great result-pity about yet another FG very very very late home winner.

Well done Jay Harris-but come on,did you HAVE to get the last one? I was just celebrating 3 points in the prediction league for 3-1 when..........smiling smileysmileys with beer. Hope you saved one or two for a few more games.

lol, I had us for 2-0 in the prediction league, hoots

We have 2/3 games on most of the other sides .the top 7 getting tight it is going to go down to the wire it depends on what set of players want it the most .good win tonight but it was north ferriby .the bigger test to come .well done to Harris .he does not always play well but gives his all .is he the new Norwood .? i think he has nearly as many goals .Macc won again if they had more money and a big squad they would be a big danger very good manager .its a must win Saturday .we can only afford to lose 2more games out the ten will draw some as well after Wrexham away (3 games ) we should have a good idea what's needed it's going to be a real nail biting April

First target has to be 80 points which should guarantee a playoff place, from there, who knows..

If we don't get automatic promotion, what's the bet we get Macclesfield in the playoffs

Cannot see Macclesfield making the play offs.If we could get Dunn and Maynard back the run in would be so much better.Hopefully even if Wallace became available MM has now seen that Harris is the better option

Another enjoyable away day at the quirky village of North Ferriby. Started on the front foot and despite conceding never looked like not winning. A fantastic contribution from Harris who has really added to his game under Mellon.

I didn't go to the game last night but, reading the local report, they state the 4-1 score line flattered us and complain about the referee?

Could anyone who went comment please?

I believe they've had a dead cert penalty turned down a few minutes before we got ours.

And according the commentary we never got out of second gear in the fist half. Was that a deliberate tactic or did MM really sort it out at half time?

We won and scored 4 goals. We have a player who has scored 20 in a season for first time since 2003/4. We came back from 1-0 down
I dont see the point in worrying about a performance aspect at this time. It was a good result made better by a lot of poor results for our rivals.

Good idea play remaining of our games away and wear the new lucky blue shirts .I hate the green away kit .when I first started going to rovers they played in blue shirts white shorts .lets get a petition up for that to be our next away kit

Just read the local report. Think I must have been at a different game. Although they were never going to admit to their favourites being tonked at home.

A brilliant result and the kind of result that potential champions need to get now and then because nicking games too much is not conducive to a title push.

I hope Harris starts the next match and hopefully the new signing and the supposed signing to come get a shot in the match day squad or even the team, as well as Dunn who is back now and hopefully will make an impact.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
