When asked if he was worried about being dragged into a relegation dog fight, Keates replied: “(With) performances like that, yeah definitely.
“But I have never operated like that as a player and I won’t operate like that as a manager.
“This football club deserves so much better and these fans do, somehow these players need to turn the performances around.
“They will be back in tomorrow and do it properly, and they have got a game on Saturday and a response is needed.
“They owe everybody a performance on Saturday.”
Keates was clearly hurting following the loss, but has challenged his players to respond in Saturday’s FA Trophy clash at home with National League leaders Tranmere Rovers.
When asked if the players were equally hurting following the loss, he added: “I’d like to think so.
“We have had a chat, and I have asked them, I see a lot of head shaking and a lot of “yeah, yeah, yeah”, but it is easy to be saying stuff like that in the changing room, but it is out there (on the pitch) I will judge them, out there from now on.
“All the right things can be said inside, can we do this? Can we do that? I want men from now, people to stand up and be counted, I want leaders, I want people to show on the pitch, and show the fans and show everyone associated with the football club that they deserve to wear the top.”

See that Lincoln will have the weekend off. Their tie has been postponed as their opponents Shaw Lane are subject to an FA investigation regarding their previous tie versus Nantwich.

What is the obession with Sean Raggett, have you not heard of Callum Howe?

Bit like a pre season feel to it. North wales police out in force. Look like they were going to war, a real over kill. Sorry but still can't except Wallace back and when he came on he was woeful. Sooner this loan is over the better. We don't need him and I for one don't want him and I'd hate to think what his wage bill is. Kay all day long to come back for me

We know Raggett is a class player and that Howe is so good he has been out on loan to Southport!!

Because of what he said and IMO he was rubbish when he came on today. If I left a job in the way he did, I doubt very much they would take me back a few years later.

Don't need anyone at the moment, wouldn't be in a rush to add any 34 plus year olds to the team.

We were all young and daft once. The prerogative of youth to say and do stupid things. I just hope JW continues to let his football do the talking. He is different class.

A great result today, but to be honest anyone who could makes a difference would be worth considering for the long-term. You can either get promoted with a certain points total or go up with another 4-5 points and have a stronger crack at the league above.
However budget and squad size need to be monitored, to make sure it's not top heavy, but anyone who could make a great difference would be someone for Micky Mellon to consider at least at any point when he can sign them and not just at select times of the season, as sometimes procrastination could leave rivals free to steal a march.

You're entitled to your opinion of course but I completely DISAGREE with it.
Like Hoots Mon said, the lad has apologized, putting it to lack of maturity when he was with us, and he's come back, I quote, wanting to win the hearts of the fans again. I think we should embrace that, and forgive and move on.
Can't comment on how he played today but his quality is undeniable if he regains match fitness and on paper, is the best central midfielder at the club. I wasn't at the game today, but there have been quite a few games (such as Braintree away) when the central midfield has been poor and crying out for a ball winning influence like Wallace.
So in my humble opinion, I think writing him off based on comments he made in his youth (which he has apologized for) is not helpful at all.

So you DISAGREE, I know he has apologised, but he's still not fit enough or needed that much to play a full 90. If we needed him that much and he was making a real impression on the team, then ok, but he's not.
Would rather sure up the defensive back up if any.
