i read something on the web and their already betting on the next tranmere manager

Danny Wilson who has been installed as the 4/1 favourite (Bet Victor) in the Next Permanent Tranmere Manager Market. The betting is predictably very open, with a whole host of names in the frame, including James Beattie, Darren Ferguson, Nigel Worthington and Paul Cox.

if we get relegated i cant see any of these wanting to manage us

Saunders and Allen? I'd rather have Adams to be honest! Cannot stand Dean Saunders at all.

I like Wilson yeah always have!

Not had too much non-League experience as a Manager but I'd be happy with him!

Let's go for a manager who has promoted three clubs from the Conference - John Still if we could prise him away from Luton - probably unlikely.

Our manager has to be in line with MPs plans, I know that sounds obvious but if we are to go part time it needs to be someone experienced operating in that framework, over someone used to the full time enviroment. If we spend big its got to be someone used to swiping the plastic and not used to gettig part timers winning they will have to be trusted spenders. There two completley different kettles of fish. Stating the obvious I know but......

I noted in a recent discussion Steve Lomas. Potentially top level contacts, experience at a higher level, albeit it wasn't as productive as he would have liked. He knows Brendan Rodgers and spent time at Liverpool for a bit observing how things went and was very good at St Johnstone and has said in an interview he is not afraid to move around.

There's all sorts of names out there. But it's pointless really speculating until we know definitely which division we'll be playing in.Personally,I would like a younger manager again-you all know my views on the last one-the likes of Adrian Pennock [if Forest Green don't go up]who I believe has coached under Pulis at Stoke, could be ideal.

Not saying we are going part time hoots, but for me the options are go part time and spend five years getting out or spend big and try to get out first time of asking.

David Kelly would be my choice.
Probably wouldn't touch the job with a sh1tty stick though.

Would certainly please some of our older supporters.

About time some of us got real. Some of the names mentioned on here are really stupid. As if any manager worth his salt would even consider joining us given the situation and the hostility they would get from certain sections when things started to go wrong. We've only got to look down the road at Stockport to see what is in store. Anybody who thinks automatic promotion is on the cards needs to have their head looked at. It's well known that to get out of the Conference takes ages. I can see a period of around 3 years before we can even contemplate being in a position to challenge promotion.

If he failed some people might throw sh1tty sticks at him and his car.

Palios could ask someone to name their price, but the price might be £10,000,000 a year and a get out clause if they are offered an international position.

I wonder how much the Andorran FA could compensate Tranmere, for the immediate recruitment of a manager, from a club that by then could be sliding downhill faster than an eel on a snowboard.
