Has Andy Robinson fell into a black hole, nothing mentioned of official site, nothing mentioned the last 2 games on the radio, I know most people dont like him or say hes past his best, was just wondering why we are kept in the dark over this, why is it the fans are treated this way ?? Thoughts

John Mc bust up ended his tranmere career....for standing up for the players character...

Sad the way its ended for one of our real quality players in recent times.

And looking at our options on the bench....10 mins left we need a goal to stay up would you rather have kirby/rowe/leeds loanee or Robbo??? I know who i would.

I know what you mean and to an extent agree. But I feel sorry for Rowe who has deserved to play much more than he has.

honestly, he hasnt really given us anything all season. Seemed to see it as a bit of a joke at times when he was on the field. Its a shame as hes local and seemed to love the club, something going on off the field that we dont really know about..

would agree with the comment re. rowe has ability but yet to get a chance...and will probably be released without one.

Tranmere will struggle to sign a winger good for 10 goals a season, but then again richer teams would too.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

Shame to see him go, would have liked him to move into a coaching role. He said he will do a fans Q & A next week, will be interesting.

He never got on with Ronnie really and obviously didn't with McMahon,if hes having a q&a ,I hope he at least has the respect to wait until the seasons over,if anyone wants one before that just go in the kings over the weekend.
Glad hes gone as he has been a waste of a wage this season.

I agree-and that would be grossly unfair to him.

Shame about robbo, 2 seasons ago we cud rely on him to score a few goals, as people stated he has hardly played or done enough this season, and hasnt looked interested ..... Why rowe hasnt hardly played is beyond me , done well against mk dons then never came back into the team ..... Been a strange season !!!!

Robbo was past his best and would have been released at end of season anyway. As for being a coach not for me as be couldnt keep himself trim could he. And we need to move away from jobs for the old boys and get proper trained coaching staff.

Robbo could easily have launched into a rant tonight about J Mc etc...i'd say his comments on twitter are classy and respectful to the club.

The q and a will i'm sure put a lot of people straight on what has gone on this season and i'm sure he'll wait till we're safe to do it.

Not on twitter so cant see what hes said, glad to hear it though.
Be interesting to see if he admits to his own failings concerning fitness and discipline when he has his q&a rather than just blaming people which is what he tends to do.
He needs to remember ,that despite his talent he has never actually played a game higher than league 1 in his career so hes hardly the bigshot he likes to think.

A lot of comments above are unfair to him In my opinion.

You all have short memories - You forget he kept us up with goals a couple of seasons ago in both previous spells he had.

Same as you all probably forget just how much money PJ has put into this club both in the past and currently to keep it going.

Great goal to help keep us up and great hat-trick at Carlisle so no short memory here but as mentioned elsewhere it was a mistake to keep him on in the summer.

Not short memories at all.

He scored probably the greatest hat-trick I will ever see live at a football match, he scored that goal against Millwall.. he has made various defenders look silly, and IIRC he got three consecutive standing ovations from the oppositions home fans at the start of last season. A very good player considering some of the dross we've had here over the last five years.

However he has let himself and the club down the last twelve months. There's no doubt that he still has the (technical) ability to play at this level. His body just can't cope with it though. And he only has one person to blame and thats himself. You look at Robbo and compare him to Lowe. Similar age, one is in great shape and runs all day for the team. The other, is technically a better player perhaps, but is blowing out of his ass after ten minutes.

Great goal yes, but Tranmere were already 1-0 up, so his goal wasn't a potential game changing offering

His goal to secure the win against Shrewsbury this season meant more for me anyway, as it created a winning position, but the fantastic Millwall one just cemented a winning position, the team may have gone on to close out anyway and the Stockport game yielded nothing from him in terms of goals and assists I seem to recall.

His initial tenure saw him carded against Brighton and the Norwich game was won without him, but those Swindon and Walsall games might have gone differently with him available and the subsequant injury layoff prevented him making any impact for several games.

I was concerned about his eventual return, based on him offering limited output that season, barring the goal that topped off a potential win scenario, but I never write off new signings without evidence, so I welcomed him and when he started to come good, I was happy for him and the team to have a big impact player.

His fitness has ruined his time at Tranmere and that's the truth and when you have Lowe at the club making a statement at his age, Robbo appeared to learn nothing from his example.

It's like Stan Matthews playing football into his 50's, eating cereal for breakfast, not fry-ups and not smoking and yet people still played the game on smokes, fry-ups and booze, wondering why their top flight careers were over by 32 in some cases, when he was European footballer of the year at 40 and in the England team at 41.

Lowe offered Robbo the chance to see what could be done physically, just by seeing his fitness and condition pay off and maybe asking him how he applied common sense to his way of life, but Robinson clearly ignored this lesson in physical intelligence and continued to negatively affect his health in some way(s) and paid for it.

A great club player who goes with my utmost respect, but a sad end to his Tranmere days.

Different players will age/physically condition better than others....

Why is every player not playing at 41 like Giggs....Robbo has always been short/stocky and not a runner...

Just reading on his Twitter page that he is looking forward to his next chapter and he still has a lot to offer playing in the right position.....

played in the hole behind a striker he could do damage still, as a left winger told to track back all the time no chance.
