You all have short memories - You forget he kept us up with goals a couple of seasons ago in both previous spells he had.
Great goal yes, but Tranmere were already 1-0 up, so his goal wasn't a potential game changing offering
His goal to secure the win against Shrewsbury this season meant more for me anyway, as it created a winning position, but the fantastic Millwall one just cemented a winning position, the team may have gone on to close out anyway and the Stockport game yielded nothing from him in terms of goals and assists I seem to recall.
His initial tenure saw him carded against Brighton and the Norwich game was won without him, but those Swindon and Walsall games might have gone differently with him available and the subsequant injury layoff prevented him making any impact for several games.
I was concerned about his eventual return, based on him offering limited output that season, barring the goal that topped off a potential win scenario, but I never write off new signings without evidence, so I welcomed him and when he started to come good, I was happy for him and the team to have a big impact player.
His fitness has ruined his time at Tranmere and that's the truth and when you have Lowe at the club making a statement at his age, Robbo appeared to learn nothing from his example.
It's like Stan Matthews playing football into his 50's, eating cereal for breakfast, not fry-ups and not smoking and yet people still played the game on smokes, fry-ups and booze, wondering why their top flight careers were over by 32 in some cases, when he was European footballer of the year at 40 and in the England team at 41.
Lowe offered Robbo the chance to see what could be done physically, just by seeing his fitness and condition pay off and maybe asking him how he applied common sense to his way of life, but Robinson clearly ignored this lesson in physical intelligence and continued to negatively affect his health in some way(s) and paid for it.
A great club player who goes with my utmost respect, but a sad end to his Tranmere days.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
