I see Prestin are saying they had two stonewall penalties disallowed in the first half when they were attacking the Cowshed end. One was for when their forward got kicked in the head and had to be bandaged up. The other was for 'deliberate handball' when we blocked a shot.

Did anyone get a decent view and can say whether they are right or not? I was in the Kop and couldn't see.

They have a case for the handball but not for the other incident. You could also ask whether our disallowed goal WAS offside.

Blatant handball on the line so that is a penalty and a red card.

Our striker Beavon was caught by a boot in the area when heading the ball which is a penalty, PROOF you say? He had to have his head bandaged up, heads dont split on there own.

NO PROOF. you don't get a penalty when your head is at knee height, our player got the ball fairly and just caught your players, knee high, head on the follow through FACT

No proof and no blood! The bandage was added for effect I suspect. If there was a head wound I doubt he would have gone for the ball with his head as soon as he ran back on.

I thought that the kick in the head was a penalty. Ash's leg was very high and I was suprised it wasn't given. Didn't see the block on the line cause it happened so quick but one thing I will say is that Cassidy was NOT offside as he ran from behind the defenders.

Football has a habit of evening out of the course of the season. I think Preston fans should be more critical of their number 22 as he should have scored when 1 on 1 with Fonners. I also thought he was the worst striker I've seen in ages, looks like the type of forwards we usually buy!!!!

I thought the no22 should possibly have walked in the first 10mins for his two feet off the ground tackle. If it had been a yellow it might have got him a second yellow later in the game for a few of his tackles.

Cassidy was certainly on side - he burst through the two CBs.

Hand ball? Too fast to tell but I thought it hit the lads thigh. He was on/infront of the line though.

High foot? 50:50 and I think he was looking for it

High foot. It was no penalty but how can you look to get kicked in the head?

I was sitting in the Town Paddock and had a good view of both incidents. I was very surprised that a penalty was not given for the handball...
The High kick/ Low head , would have been disappointed if that had been given. Didn't see any contact even though the lad had his head bandaged. Very poor challenge by Ash though.

I had the same view FinnRover, poor challenge by ash but I think he was looking for it, and contact was probably minimal. I think it was a con job infront of the away fans. No stitches but a full bandage? Who are they kidding.

Couldn't tell what or who hit the ball on the line.

I think both incidents could have been avoided if Fonners came off his line, but hey ho

This I believe is Fonners achillie heel.
When your back line plays a high line, you need your keeper to sweep. He looks terrified to come out of his comfort zone of the six yard box. This is maybe why he isn't in the premiership. Maybe why he's Wales No. 4!

A great shot-stopper, but he causes problems, by not sweeping.

Hey Ho!!

SWA!

Luke Pilling did well for Wales u16s last night against England.

Yeah I suppose the only good thing is he's consistent on staying on his line so the back four know it's always going to be their ball, but I'd like to see him come off his line.

There was one chance on the first half for Preston where it was easier for him to keep coming once he had started and instead he froze- that may have led to the Taylor high foot, can't remember

Maybe someone should email the club and say, Dear Tranmere, please could you tell Owain Fon Williams to come off his line a bit more with confidence.

He's a superb keeper, but he's hindering his own progress, with his restrictive approach to goalkeeping and every now and then it hinders the teams tight defences.

If he does this, he will be a better keeper and feel better within himself

Yours sincerely

An empassioned supporter.

Alternatively, if he has a twitter feed, someone could just tweet him and say Oi Fonners, you need to get off your line more, you're hindering your own potential, you silly sod.

I don't use twitter so that rules me out.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
