He's a quality midfielder and can also play in defence. Huddersfield are making a big mistake letting him go, sign him up ASAP.

i wonder if its going to be a loan or a signing?
hopefully he will get a contract and prove Huddersfield wrong and become a good player for us.

Cover for Mahon would suggest a loan deal rather than permanent but who knows?

team talk is reporting that he is transfer listed and there is a fee involved, the deal has been agreed!

Town don't want him - no loan deal.

would seem strange if he's coming in for cover for mahon as Berret is a defensive midfielder, who can play in the centre of midfield, where as mahon was more of a left sided attacking mid. Anyways i'd be happy with his signing!

Berret - Welsh - Labadie

As next seasons midfield? Won't be worse than what started last season...

Shuker - McLaren - Welsh - Mahon

All of whom are terrible (or Welsh certainly was at the beginning of last season though was most improved player IMO through the season)

Have heard we're very close to securing this deal. Trying to arrange a sell on fee type transfer for him as he's contracted until 2012
