Just read that Gary Johntson has left Bristol City.
If we are going to get a new manager in for next season Gary would be a great choice for me. He has done wonders with Bristol City and could possibly bring stability to the club.

What do people think on this?

He's a southerner. He won't come up to the Wirral. I'd love it if we got him; he's experienced at club and international level, has managed in major tournaments, featured at Wembley and won promotion. He also develops talent and is the reason Yeovil are where they are today rather than in the realms of non-league football, but....I would put money on him not coming up North.

I would love him as our next Manager but I just can't see it - not just for the geographical reasons given above but also financially

Funny how people were all for Les Parry but now want him out !

With debts now of £6 million you are right to figure on the financial side.
What might it be in another year ?

Who said they wanted Les out? His contract is up at the end of the season, I'd prefer it if he was physio and it's someone we can rely on. He's worked wonders for the club this season but their are doubts about his ability to actually assemble a squad in the summer.

I'd love Gary Johnston but just can't see it happening!

I've backed Parry as much if not more than anyone and still do but as usual people have chosen to misread what I'm saying lol.

Haven't posted on here for quite some time as this managerial talk is somewhat disturbing me.

Les as we all know has doen a sterling job for us. I hope he get's rewarded for his efforts I really do.

Is he the right man to take us forward though? I don't want to even answer this to be honest.

I would be happy if he was given a full time deal however if not I would love to see us make an attempt to get Coleman from Accrington and for me has done one of the better jobs in lower league football over the last few seasons.

He will be affordable and will be the type of guy the better players from league 2 will want to play for as most probably the only signings we will go for will be from that division come close season as the lure of league 1 football will be an attractive proposal for any young aspiring league 2 footballer.
