Wages are spiralling out of control its mental. 200k a week for ronaldinho, 300 if ronaldo moves, dont understand how long clubs can keep this up.

had a economics lecture in college on tht very topic. the lecturer was decently experienced and talkd for a good while about how football wages were going into overheat (not being able to sustain itself) and it would all come tumbling down. interesting stuff tht. makes u wonder wht the flamini's of this world would do... take up a career in painting or sumtin..

Why? Football as a business is making way more money today than it did 10 years ago. Who should get the extra money, the agents? or the board?

I'm not condoning bridge's wage, jus sayin....

England 1st choice LB - 90,000 pw as Chelsea Rent-Boy
England 2nd choice LB - 70,000 pw as stockpile in Winston Bogarde Suite.

And they slagged Arsenal for inhibiting the development of English talents?..(Sm6)

And those BLUEASS monkeys still claimed with as triaght face that they didn't BOUGHT those two titles?..(Sm22)

just goes to show why Arsenal are right to stick to their wage structure, it has and will again cost us a player or two but someone has to run their club within its own income, footballs gone mad and some big clubs will come unstuck in the long run

If the Market crashes, how many Arsenal fans can still afford the highest season ticket price in Europe?

If the market crashes the hole will fall out the bottom of the entire football industry- not just at arsenal. the fans will not bear the brunt i feel- thats a sure way to alienate fans and actually reduce ticket sales, rather a general tightening of belts, blanket reduction in wages and market prices for players plumetting.

it si sooner than you think with oil prices keep escalating.
And it si only summer.

And if winter comes early and it si one of those 1 in 100; the oil prices can even zoom beyond US$150.

Then, what?
America invades Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran to get a secure oil supply?

Either way you look at it, come August 2008, it wil be interestign to see how many clubs will be in dire straits when the gobal economy goes into recession..with mass unemployment all over Europe.....adn Cable TV started to renege on their multi-billion deals with premeirship....

Just a little point on Arsenal having the highest ticket prices, do you know who has the second highest

spuds

at least we have reason to have high prices with the stadium to be paid for but for spuds to be nearly as dear in that run down shed they call a stadium and for it to never get a mention is just another sign of the anti Arsenal stance in the media
