3 down and 4 more to go?

Jenkinson and Koscielny are gone.
Iwobi gone.

Face it, Iwobi wasn't popular with fans and many wanted him gone last season.

Elneny?
Are they still negotiating with those Turkish clubs that wanted him?
If he has any football ambition at all, he should be pushing for a move instead of rotting on the bench.

Mustafi by end-August?
By signing Luiz, he should realise he is not wanted.
Or he does a "Kanu" and see out his contract on the bench?

Methink that by giving him an extension last summer is just to protect his transfer price value.

Xhaka?
And looking ahead, Xhaka playing time may be drastically reduced once both Ceballos and Willock are up to speed, (not forgetting Guendouzi is ready to replace him by December if he keeps at this rate), we may very well see him leaving beyond August as well!
Oh, they just renewed his contract last summer ... perhaps to protect his transfer value?

Kolasinac?
With Monreal on his last leg, Tierney may only start playing somewhere in September/October, Holding or Luiz as emergency LB, it is the right decision to retain him for this season.

Is there any Academy product that can challenge Tierney next season?

2020/21 - LB left are Tierney and Kolasinac; and any youngsters that are ready to step into senior squad.

'The more things change, the more they remain the same' Alphonse Karr.

Saka plays left back. From what I seen he is ready for the first team. Moving forward he and Tierney will be our left backs. Both have shown they are great attacking fullbacks too.

I am super excited for Saka. The power and pace he has for his age is exceptional.
