It's obviously a nice gesture and better than doing nothing of course, but it's not exactly that big a deal really is it. Not that it costs that much to feed a homeless person with a basic meal, but let's just say we pushed the boat out as it was his wedding day and say 16,000 homeless people were fed at £20 a head, that's £320k in total.

Not even a weeks wages to dear ol' Mesut and seeing as he can only be bothered to earn his wages about once a month it won't really hurt him feeding some hungry mouths on his wedding day with the money he strolls around the pitch most of the time pocketing from us.

Albert Einstein once said: "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Jheeze some people will criticize Ozil for anything. I can't believe you're trying to downplay such a gesture.

Plus a weeks wages is a lot of money to give away to non loved ones whether you're on avg salary or a millionaire.

Footballing wise i think its time to go but i applaud gestures like this from footballers. Ronaldo is another charitable guy that is not always publicized.

He should take up charioty work full time he is very good at it

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

Haha at least some of that £350k a week is being put to good use. Can't say the same for most other footballers.

Ozil is a good guy. He is not even bad at football but lazy and careless. I will always remember his performance at the 2010 World Cup.

Dream acquisitions as of 10/15/2018:

CB: Issa Diop/Jonathan Tah
RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka
DM: Franck Kessie/Yves Bissouma/Ndidi
CM: Kai Havertz
Wing/Attack: Ante Rebic/Pepe
