Indeed - so close and so within their grasp

Makes you wonder whether their heads got turned by the final stages of the Europa League and they lost their focus on the League

Also makes you wonder how strong the squad is outside of the best 11

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

I knew Aubu's penalty miss against Tottenham would come back and haunt us. If the officials had done their job better that day. Half the players and backroom staff were off side for their equaliser and the saved penalty was cleared by a player who had encroached, it should have been retaken. All ifs, but and maybes. It is what it is, and we are where we are. Please let us went the EL final.

Auba should not be our primary penalty taker. He is more interested in putting the ball in the net with style than just putting the ball in the net. Lacazette is a better choice.

A bit like Ozil trying to caress the ball into the net from the spot. In fact I don't think I've ever seen him score a pen.

Albert Einstein once said: "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Auba is not the best penalty taker at arsenal. This is my pbm with emery.

Lacazette scored 35 for lyon and i think 10+ penalties.

I would also think xhaka probably might be better at penalties than auba. Generally ppl with good shooting technique are good with penalties. Not sure about xhaka, but Lacazette should be taking all of pens whenever he is on the field

We've been blessed with many good penalty takers in recent years - Van Persie was amazing, Henry (that idiotic thing with Pires aside,) Ashley Cole could take great pennos, Gilberto likes a penny, cess usually scored.

Auba is probably worse at penalties than they all were.

Lacazette is good. Check it out all his goals from his last season at lyon

Arteta was good at pens and free kicks
