Also there were reports the other day that Bundesliga clubs were scouting the youth teams of top Premier League sides to try and uncover the next Jadon Sancho. Reports today that Bayern have identified Xavier Amaechi as a possible candidate.

Fortunately I believe he is under contract here until 2022...

Substitutes Balogun and Tormey have both scored to make it 2-2. Swansea have also had a man sent off late.

We're into added time, of which there is quite a bit as this game has been really disjointed and full of stoppages.

Full time 2-2. Pushed for a late winner but it wasn't enough.

Never really got going tonight. Not a great game.

Funny game.

Dominic Thompson, usually a left back, was started as a kind of #10/ third central midfielder. Whilst he worked hard, he didn't really look like he knew what he was doing and it didn't work out.

Medley didn't have a good game at centre back but looked better at left back.

The real positive tonight is Folarin Balogun. His goal meant he has scored 16 goals in 19 youth appearances this season, including 4 in the last week. With fellow forwards Eddie Nketiah and Tyreece John-Jules both looking like great prospects as well, plus the likes of wingers/ attacking midfielders Nelson, Smith-Rowe, Saka, Amaechi, etc, we have a crazy amount of attacking talent in our ranks. Obviously it is unrealistic to think they will all make it here, but surely a few of them will be given opportunity.
