Team against BATE 2nd leg - Do we have a can opener?

BATE will happily play 4-6-0 to frustrate Arsenal and pay back Unai Emery in kind - Route 101 Football with swift counter-attacks.

It is so easy to counter Emery tactics by simply fielding committing professional and niggling fouls to stop Arsenal build-up plays in its track to gain time to pack the box with 3 lines of 10 players.

Our greatest attacking threat is KOlasinac-Iwobi down the left flank. Kick anyone of these players out of the game, Arsenal is rendered impotent with no goal scorign chance created at left flank.

How do we overcome 3 lines of 4-4-2 within a 10 yard box with Emery Crab Football, passing sideway and backward with no final products?

With Laca suspended (our best ball holding player in the box) and Auba having no service, how do we score?
Hoping Lady Luck will give us a hand?

BATE had learnt their lesson in the 1st leg and had given us an inkling on how to beat Arsenal:
#1 - A suffocating defence to push our impotent wingbacks to the flank.
#2 - Instant pressing when Iwobi or Kolasinac get the ball.
#3 - Niggling fouls against Guendouzi and Kolasinac to get them to react.
#4 - Run at Xhaka to tempt him to commit his tackle to yellow-card him.
#5 - Target Mustafi and AMN at right flank.
#6 - Run at Mustafi in the box and hope for a penalty.

Alas, our dumbfcuk of a manager will stick to HIS TEAM come hell or high water:

..... ..... ..... ..... .... ... Cech

..... Mustafi ... Sokratis ... Koscielny

... AMN ... Xhaka ... Guendouzi ... Kolasinac

... Mkhitaryan ... Aubameyang ... Iwobi

The difference is that Sokratis should be fit to play, and really is there any better players in the squad to replace these starting players?

Oh, Ozil?
He is still recovering from flu/back spasm/niggling knee/niggling groin injury.

Ramsey?
Struggling with a slight groin complaint.

Oh yes, after 80 minutes of 0-0;
- will a frustrated Xhaka get a yellow for his trademark blatant foul when players got pass him?
- Will a frustrated Kolasinac initiated a thuggish confrontation resulting in a melee?

- Will Mustafi committed his trad-mark bodycheck and lunge in the box and give away a penalty?

- Can a hot-head Guendouzi keep his cool after beign targetted for numerous niggling fouls and ankle-tapping?

Most interestign to watch how many Arsenal players will remain on the pitch.

"The idea is to be more unpredictable every year and be more difficult for the opponents to stop and nullify what we want to do. That’s what we have now, especially at the back and in the midfield the options we have, to open up the spaces, we have many more options than we had last year.” Mikel Arteta

Is he injured?

We can't keep a clean sheet so we will have to score at least 3 to win it I reckon.

I don't see Bate having very pacey attackers to hit us on the counter like Man U or Liverpool do on a regular basis. As long as we don't lose the ball unneccesarily deep in our own half, we should be able to see this through. Bate will once again rely on set pieces although I doubt they will get too many of those as they will park the bus from the first whistle. Might have to get Xhaka to even try to hit long shots from outside the box when he gets the chance as there will be no space to work. Their keeper is no De Gea.

Ozil has to play.

Just having him on the field means all our attack won't come from left flank.

Ramsey too. We really do not need 3 CMs in a game at home vs BATE. But Emery seems a like a negative manager even against minnows.

All out attack and we'll outscore them by at least two!
