2019/20 - How to free up 625K per week?

This summer Arsenal should offload Stephan Lichtsteiner, Carl Jenkinson, Petr Cech, Danny Welbeck, Aaron Ramsey and possibly even Nacho Monreal although there have been reports he could get a new contract. While the club won’t get any money for any of those six players as they are all out of contract, it will free up over £400kpw from the wage bill.

Aaron Ramsey £110kpw
Petr Cech £100kpw
Stephan Lichtsteiner £90kpw
Danny Welbeck £70kpw
Nacho Monreal £65kpw
Carl Jenkinson £45kpw

Players likely to face the chop this summer include Shkodran Mustafi and Mohamed Elneny who are on a combined £145kpw.

Mokbel writes that Ozil’s wages are a ‘crippling burden on the club’s finances, particularly given that he is now on the periphery of Emery’s team’ but that doesn’t really make any sense. Either his wages are crippling or they aren’t. Whether he is playing or not shouldn’t really impact that.

That being said, there is absolutely no sense in paying a player £350kpw that you won’t even use. Like that gym membership we all buy in January and then forget about until we wonder why we have no money in the bank.

Let's see.

Players out of contract = £490kpw

Sell Mustafi + Elneny = £145kpw

Sell Mkhitaryan = £280kpw

Sell Xhaka = £150kpw?

Total Wage Bill reduced = £1,065kpw

And that is without even cosnidering letting Ozil leaves on a free transfer and freeing £350kpw!

Chrissake, that mismanagement by both Gazidis and Wenger in loading Arsenal FC with highly paid medicocre players jsut because to protect their transfer fee afetr that Helb Saga of threatening to payout his contract value to move to Barca!

Now, Emery can supplement his alleged £45m Transfer Budget with selling Mustafi, Xhaka, Elneny, Mkhitaryan, and a few youths.

Plus I am not too sure that Josh kroenke is that daft not to few up a few millions when Sanllehi and Emery ahd identified "must buy" players necessaitated to win titles and qualify for CL Cup.

By May 2019, we will know which direction that Sanllehi, Venkat and Emery had mapped out for Arsenal FC to challenge for the title in 2019/20 season.

LA Rams palying in SUperBowl may be a good thing as it rekindles the burnign ambiiton in Kroenke Family that they needed a glorious legacy in professional sport and not viewed as carpetbagger and vultures only interested in profits and not sporting glories.

LA Rams fans will not stand for it as perennial "also rans" but needed sportign glories to fill up that WHite Ele[hant of a stadium.

Similarly, Arsenal fans can take action at all LA Ram fans blogs and websites by needlign them as no better than Arsenal FC under Silent Stan, perennial also-rans with owners interesteed in profits ratehr than glories.

A sustained campaign is needed over at LA Rams to show up Silent Stan that he is a "one off" and thereafter, contented to milk LA Ram fans and will tighten his wallet not to furtehr invest in LA Rams now.

SImply he had invested US$1-billion of his own money into that US$3.8-billion Inglewood porject and will not invest furtehr into current team until he had collected all of his US$1-billion investment back.

Josh?
If he effectively takes over from papa next season, he will crave for sporting glory to makr his reign.

Papa?
he has his hands full trying to make LA Rams sustainable, continues to placate LA Rams fans whose expectation is high now, and has no time for Arsenal Holdings.

I agree, someone at this club has been having a laugh. I can almost think it was done on purpose, Jenkinson got a new deal when it was obvious he wasn't good enough - 45k per week, unbelievable. And don't get me started on Ozil, even if we think he was a great player, at his age he never deserved that contract. I'm so angry about the whole issue.

Yes chickens are coming home to roost the previous regime were business clowns but ultimately decisions must have been ratified at the highest level.
