can anybody tell me why elneny has become the forgotten player at arsenal.he never even gets a mention on this board.given how rubbish our midfield was yesterday ithought emery must put him on as a sub.the last time I saw him given any matchtime I thought he was half decent, mind you that was last season.

Elneny works hard and can disrupt defences. I was once live at a match and he was shadowing an attacking player on the touchline, like a terrier he was. Theo was just dancing about 2 metres behind him doing nothing, Elneny got the ball all by himself. He can't be any worse than the way we have played last 3 matches, give him a go I say, f he's rubbish, drop him.

I think he is lightweight

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

Elneny is probably the most limited player we have. In the second half of last season he started many matches and frankly speaking, he was pathetic. The sooner he leaves, the better for everyone involved.

Elneny should have been used as the 3rd centerback instead if Xhaka in all those 352 games

Elneny was just a typical Wenger signing, available and cheap.

You only get what you pay for.

To be fair he met the criteria of covering a lot of ground and playing a lot of passes, it's just a shame that's literally all he can do...

He used to have a good shot on him and I read him saying somewhere that he'd been told not to shoot and he realised why now!

The analytics software does not differentiate forward passes, from back passes and sideway passes. And there lies the problem. (Sm101)
