Guendouzi to replace Ramsey?

Hmmm … he is more of a box-to-box No. 8 rather than a DCM.
His spatial awareness is poor, his defensive awareness is poor too … like Ramsey.

But he has an engine like Ramsey but well better in tracking back.

No Ramsey means more playing time for Guendouzi, Willock, Torreira and maybe another promoted youngsters?

Moreover, we have Xhaka who is better defensively, passing accuracy and has a better spatial awareness and tactical brain than Ramsey.

Transfer money should be reserve to spend on a pacy winger which this team needed urgently.

He's been far better than Ramsey this season!

He's 19 and will improve.

Can't see him ever being as much of a threat as Ramsey off the ball/in the box but I'd accept that if he plays the ball quicker and can learn to hold his position. Ramsey plays like he hasn't had enough coaching. Both can see a pass but Ramsey ignores them sometimes.

Emile Rowe should be given the opportunity. At 18 he's ready

Lol did not see how many time Xhaka saw an oposition player making an attacking run and he just let them through without doiing anything at all.

Xhaka can't sense danger at all.

Other than some long range passing, Xhaka is totally useless.

No great loss to replace an underwhelming player with his head in the cloud, obsessed with getting one last lucrative contract before he declined.

Guendouzi is the benchmark of Emery's Legacy:

1 - Can he coached and nurtured youngsters with potential to blossom into senior teams playing high tempo, high pressing and quick passing football?

2 - Can he melded Arsene Wenger's leftovers, new buys and Academy products into a title winning teams within 3 seasons?

3 - Within 4 seasons, can Emery emulate great teams like Rinus Michels Ajax, Fergie Fledgings, Cryuff Barca and Guardiola Barca with at least 5 to 8 Academy players blossomed into senior team to form the spine of Arsenal FC?

All youngsters selected and enrolled into Hale End Academy are with potential only, not talented.
And when they flourished in the senior team, they are talented and fulfilled their potential.

It is a quantum leap for any talented youngsters to blossom into senior player to replace any of the starting-11.

Smith-Rowe, Nketiah, AMN, Holding, Marvopanos and Guendouzi are at that stage of fulfilling their potential and are not talented enough to replace any of the regular starting-11 .. yet.

Alex Iwobi is now a talented player and part of the starting-11.
Torreira is a talented player and may blossom into a regular starting-11 to display Xhaka and to replace Ramsey as box-to-box with his neat control and crisp and quick passing.

Maitland-Nile has yet to fulfill his potential and unable to replace either Xhaka or Bellerin and worse, Torreira and Guendouzi may have overtaken him with Joe WIllock closing behind him.

Nketiah may have a chance to replace Welbeck.

Smith-Rowe?
What are we going to do with him? No.8 or no. 10 or No. 7 to replace Mkhitaryan with Iwobi moving to No. 10?

Guendouzi?

Like his presence all over the pitch, not disciplined enough to hold his position, lakc of spatial awareness to anticipate danger like Xabi Alonso and dwell on the ball too long … he an open verdict, maybe shining briefly like a spark - an electron moving briefly into conduction band, give off light like an LED and drop back to its natural level, the valency band - and revert to a mediocre player with potential never fulfilled?

That's basically one of the few times he's done anything all season. To call him, the best player at the club is ridiculous.

I like him & he needs to stay but he's not been good enough to get 250k a week. We made a big mistake paying Ozil over 300k already. Hopefully they can meet in the middle and give him some performance incentives if he's really that good,

The only player who’s arguably better is Lacazette due to recent form.

If it is true, yeah, lovely idea to exchange him for Anthony Martial in January.
Both players' contract run out end of this season.
