Time to drop Ramsey and sell him in January

Time to cut our loss and just sell him in January.

His heart is no more on the playing field, just obsessed with getting his last and biggest lucrative contract on par with Mesut Ozil.

With Emery's new style of high tempo and high pressing football, Ramsey does not possess the high technical skills and spatial awareness of Fabregas to command such a high salary or to be the heart-beat of the team to drive Arsenal FC back to TOp-4 status.

Better for Emery to move on to develop the likes of Iwobi, Smith-Rowe, Willock, Guendouzi, Torreira and other talented youngsters to build Brit Pack 4.0 in his image.

Ramsey is the last vestige of Wenger Wunderkind which was supposed to drive Arsenal to the next level in 2010s … but flopped miserably with their limited technical ability and lack of tactical awareness with a football brain on the pitch.

For the short-term (3 years), Emergy should focus on building a title-winning team around Ozil, Mkhitaryan, Iwobi, Smith-Rowe, Guendouzi, Torreira, Willock and buying one or two more experienced midfielders to strengthen current squad for the next 3 years.

Concurrently, let Diamond Eye does his magic and unearthed rough diamonds for Emery to groom them into senior players.

Ramsey should have been sold many years ago. Very selfish player. He must have something in his contract that says he has to start because nothing else can explain why he gets game time let alone start for Arsenal.

We don't have anybody with 20 goals in the league, so that is a handicap - Arsene Wenger

We have an average squad, that's why he is an automatic starter. Need to replace xhaka, mustafi, ozil before we replace Ramsey. I'd be happy if we dropped xhaka and either moved Ramsey deeper or started playing a true 433 with torriera as a holding midfielder.

Very interesting. 4 year contract was agreed then Arsenal withdrew the offer.

He hasn't fitted in well with Emery's style this season so maybe a reason why. I'd prefer he stayed but he's honestly not reached the level he should be at for a long time. Stopped making tackles and even stopped scoring goals...

It's been a disappointing career for a player who had so much potential.

Think it's best for both parties for him to move on.

I rated him highly (yes you read that rightly) but that was prior to his injury.

Everthing he done pre injury was natural and he looked like he'd be the complete player. Now everthing is forced and looks so unnatural.

I hate how he plays now. He just plays for himself.

This is so unbelievably unprofessional. Saying in September that we no longer want to offer him any kind of deal. Airing it in public is beneath arsenal FC imo.

Im not against selling Ramsey if it's time bit why didn't we sell him in the summer? This just creates a public animosity and means we are going to be carrying him and his wages for months until he goes.

Mismanagement by the club

Not unprofessional.
Just a bargaining ploy to let the market know that Ramsey is available for sale in January and an invitation for clubs to submit the bid.

There is no more uncertainty - either Ramsey lowered his salary demand or leave in January.

Ramsey and Welbeck is the last residues of the previous Gazidis-Wenger Axis which resulted in so many transfer debacles.

I look upon Ramsey's Contract as the beginning of a ruthless Sanllehi Era where he is prepared to lose millions to start a new era which is more economically in the long run by getting rid of greedy agents who thought they had Arsenal FC over the barrel.

Perhaps, we may even see Ozil leaving in January to cut our losses over his obscene salary which doe snot match his performances on the pitch.

My KPI for Ozil is to see him improve vastly in October/November to be considered the Top-5 FIFA Players for 2018/19 season; and short-listed as Top-3 for Balon d'Oro Award. This is the Ozil I wanted to see for this season.
If Ozil is still a failure by January, then sell him to cut the losses.

Ramsey, Ozil and Welbeck can all leave next season when Sanllehi started his process of rejuvenating Arsenal FC into a title contender.

airing your dirty laundry in public and completely removing any bargaining power we had is unprofessional in my eyes. He could and should have been sold in the Summer. Or we should have signed him up (seeing as though he was prepared to sign a contract) and THEN sold him next summer.

It's not this regime's fault that we pay Ozil a ridiculous salary but I can completely understand why other players would be bothered by it.

Best to play Ramsey and try for best price in January.

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

It will be practically impossible to sell him in January. It wouldn't be in his best interests nor in the interest of any buying club.

If Ramsey ahs any pride, he will move on in January.

If he stays put to sign a lucrative contract elsewhere, he better starts on a flyer with his new club … else Alexis Mark 2.

Fans will not love an obscenely-paid mercenary who underperformed.

If either Liverpool or Chelski or Man City should sign him, what is his best position?
Better for him to move abroad.

Apparently we withdrew his contract offer due to lack of CL football which in turn means we have to cut wages what BS

He’s been good for one season, we should have sold him after that season
He has done nothing since
What is most infuriating to me is Emery talking about building around Ramsey before he even saw him play in the flesh once
As soon as he realised how useless he actually is, we withdrew the offer. Imagine what he could have done if he actually saw jack in the flesh

Ramsey is not a £200k a week player. Definitely not a #10.

We got Ozil, Mhyki, Iwobi and Smith Rowe who can all play in the current position Ramsey is playing.

We also have Xhaka, Torriera, Maitland-Niles and Guendouzi at CM. We wont miss Ramsey next season if we buy another CM and the young ones keep developing.

The media is trying to claim Ramsey is one of Arsenal's most consistent performers which is simple not true. He generally misses a large chunk of the season, takes time to hit form and when he does, injury strikes again.

Suits both parties if he leaves.

Agreed.
Like Wilshere, Ramsey is neither fish nor fowl to fit into Emery's setup.

For defensive duty, Emery should develop Maitland-Niles, Joe Willock and even Bielik as back-up to Torreira and Elneny.

For no. 8 spot, a rejuvenated Iwobi is ideal now; plus Smith-Rowe should replace Ramsey as No. 8 if he continues at this rate of development.

But most likely Emery may buy Banega or even Rabiot to replace Ramsey.
