West Ham midfielder Jack Wilshere will miss up to six weeks after undergoing surgery on his ankle, according to Sky sources.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Hammers after leaving Arsenal at the end of his contract in the summer, was ruled out with the problem prior to Sunday's 3-1 win at Everton.

Unlucky, but he's always going to get these ankle injuries for the rest of his career.

Harsh, but Emery did a good job making it clear he wasn't needed here. If it was Wenger, we'd be paying his wages now and he wouldn't have bought at least one of Torreira or Guendouzi. Most likely Torreira as he loved flamboyant French youth he can develop.

Totally agree, a great talent that will never be fully realised. No point whatsoever keeping him here on 100k a week.

I feel for jack and wish him well but in the end, we made the right choice letting him go contrary to some fans that felt it was a stupid decision and a grave mistake.

Wenger Is Gone Now So Can We Be Allowed To Breathe Now???

Feel for him too...

worth noting West Ham are 0-4 with Jack starting and 1-0 without him...

Not his fault, but there were some similar stretches while he was playing here.
